Answer:	I never measure it. But enough to protect your face, neck and ears. Yes, the brim is larger at the back. I have bought 4 of them.You will not be disappointed.

Answer:	I have several hats all about 7 5/8. Lately I have let my hair grow much longer increasing my head size a little. Thought I would try the XL in this OR. OR's XL is definitely above 7 5/8. I would say 7 3/4 at least and perhaps 7 7/8. There is an elastic cord in the back that adjusts to make the hat smaller by at about two sizes but adjusting for smaller also bunches the brim in the rear to kind of a V shape. If you wear a 7 5/8 or 7 1/2 I think the Large size would be correct. Hats are tricky and you need to get used to how they fit in terms of snug or ok but loose. The brim on these is soft and stretchable so they fit loose with flexing. Because they are adjustable you will have some leeway. If you get one that you are certain doesn't fit return for another size? My other hats are Tilleys so you must order exact size with no adjustment. These OR hats are very nice but a little more on the casual size with a much larger brim than I expected. You need the chin strap if any wind is blowing and catches that wide brim.

Answer:	Looking at the pictures here on amazon, it appears that the company has tried to solve this problem by notching the lid where it locks to the pan. But if you have the old style lid without the notches, hopefully I can help. I have been fighting the lid for over a year. I always forget how I got the lid off the last time. The problem is that the lid has little plastic nubs on the edge that snaps over the rim of the pan. If you remember where these nubs are, you know where to apply pressure to pop the lid off. Last night, after fighting with the lid for over 5 minutes, an idea hit me. I got a permanent magic marker and boldly marked exactly where the nubs are. Now I simply pull the pan's long side against my body, place my fingers exactly where I marked the nubs, Then with fingers, firmly pry the nubs out and away from the pans rim, then the lid will lift off of the pan. The pictures in this ad shows a new lid that is notched at the nubs accomplishing what I did with a permanent marker on the old style lid.

Question:	Where is this hat made
Answer:	The top is very binding and leaves a deep mark. Not comfortable or healthy. I am slender size 7 shoe and these mediums were made to fit a child. Tight from heel to toe. I am a nurse and do not recommend especially for anyone with circulation or diabetic issues. There are thick ribs of nonstick on the bottom of the sock. To me they were not comfortable to walk in. I wear lots of this type of nonskid socks but these are the worst by far. Gave to my neighbors 10 year old. They fit her size 5 feet and she uses them on their wood floors.
Question:	Is the hat washable
Answer:	I purchased these for my husband. He loves them. I will purchase more. He says he feels the “gripping” so he doesn’t slip, but he does not feel any discomfort from them. They wash beautifully. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Answer:	I’m so sorry but I have no idea . Most things are not made in USA anymore sad to say . There are no tags on them . Plus I don’t remember what the packaging was . I will say I would buy them again. I bought them for a 85 year old lady and she loves them . Very soft . I would even buy for myself . Excellent price .
