| Answer: | Yes these will work.. other posters are correct when they say these weigh over 400. with a 100 grain tip they weigh in @ around 412gr. the 13.78gpi is for the carbon shaft weight only. they leave out the vane, knock and insert weight because some have 3" vanes, some have 4" some have moon knocks that weight less than blunt face knocks, some have aluminum inserts some have brass. to many variables to list. But long story short.. the lightest option is with the 3" vanes, moon knock and aluminum insert.. with these you get around 412gr total, they only get heavier from there. |

| Answer: | If you haven't purchased arrows already your best bet would be to go to an archery shop and try out a few. Arrow length is greatly dependent on your draw length. The draw weight will vary whether you want a lower or higher spline (flexibility of the arrow- lower draw weights will typically shoot a firmer arrow). If you don't want to expose yourself to potential sale pitches than do research on how to tell which arrow size (length; spline etc) is best for you. You can determine your draw length by taking your height in inches(arms out straight to your sides middle-finger tip to tip and divide by 2.5; I'm 62" and my draw length is 25.5" ). Most ranges/shops will practically give you a free lesson of you go in with questions. You aren't obligated to buy anything. Good luck! |
