User questions & answers

Question: is this unit chargeable and does it come with a charger cable
Answer: It is in the right eyepiece
Question: My 300 pro worked well initially, but now can't pin on the flag, or even can't produce a yardage. The slop info disappeared as well. What can I do
Answer: push button on top and look into RF, you should see it change from Y To M
Question: how do you change scale from meters to yards
Answer: I am happy with this rangefinder. To measure the distance you are interested in, you need to sight in something the laser can hit. Not just a patch of the fairway. Walk to the ball and turn around and shoot something around the tee block.
Question: I know the definition between pat & standard mode, but why would i ever want to use standard mode over pat. isn't pat always better
Answer: I don’t believe the slope function can be turned off. Otherwise, this a great range finder—accurate and easy to use. While there may be better ones out there , they are four times the price and prob not that great of a difference.

Question: How does this unit measure layup distance to bunkers and dog legs
Answer: The Callaway Hybrid Laser shows both layup & carry distances to hazards and doglegs (max 6 hazards per hole). User questions & answers

Question: how long does the battery last
Answer: The 3V battery (we provide an extra w/ the Power Pack) should last a minimum of 2000 impressions, if not more. This usually translates into a full golf season, if not 2 seasons. Of course the more you use it the shorter the battery life but on average you'll at least get a full season out of a single battery. Thank you
Question: Why is it, i'm standing at the 150 yard marker i shot the middle of the green. screen reads "22 yards" also, one of the batteries was totally dead
Answer: Assuming you were in Laser mode (if you're in Prism mode you'd only be able to pick up the pin, if the pin has reflectors), since you were trying to get distance to an area of space (center of the green) vs. a specific object, you may have simply acquired the distance to the surface 20+ yards in front of you. If you continue to have this issue when in Laser mode, please give us a call at 888-606-4634 so that we may troubleshoot your issue further. Thank you.
    Question: How do you charge
Answer: It comes w 2 lithium batteries. There is no charging port. It uses standard lithium camera batteries, I bought some rechargeable a with a wall receptacle.
Question: Can you see the readings with glasses
Answer: I have only had this laser for a short time. It is different from other lasers that I have owned or used in that you don't hold it up to one eye, you hold it away from your face when you aim at the flag or some other object. This provides for a bit of a learning curve to use ( but not that difficult). With my old laser I would always remove my glasses when I used it. With this laser, I do not have to do that. I hope this helps.

    User questions & answers

Question: How often does someone use the Slope Mode ? Is it really that crucial of a feature
    Answer: No Bluetooth
Question: Does it find yardage to other objects? Water / Sand hazards
Answer: Mike, the Callaway 300 comes with a CR2 battery instead of a power cable. This battery is suppose to last for quite some time. I have only had it for a short period of time so I couldn't vouch for staying power of the battery. One thing I think I should mention is that I don't have a steady hand which makes it extremely hard to sight in on your target. It is very easy to use. Brian
Question: Where do you aim the target for m1 and m2 ....on the flag ,middle of flagpole or at the base near cup
Answer: Hi, it may just need a new battery, so try a new battery and if the issue still persists you can contact customer service at 888-606-4634 or email us at [email protected] to collect more information. Thanks.
Question: can you turn off the slope function in tournament play
Answer: If you press the button to shoot a distance just to turn the unit on and then do a press and hold on the M button for roughly 15 seconds that will switch the scale

BIG PERFORMANCE IN A COMPACT BODY

With continuous measurement capability and First Target Priority, the new COOLSHOT 20 GII enables fast and easy distance assessment to bunkers, fairway ends, dogleg corners, and ultimately the flagstick. As the smallest, most compact model in Nikon's rangefinder line, COOLSHOT 20 GII guides you from the first tee-box: Is the group ahead of you within your range? Did you choose the correct Club? Answer the question with the COOLSHOT 20 GII.

    First Target Priority Mode

First Target Priority automatically displays the range to the first/nearest target among the multiple measurements obtained. Without the wait for a secondary indicator, such as a vibration or LED, this assures that the measurement shown is the pin and not any objects in the background.

    8-Second Continuous Measurement

No longer do you need to "pump" the button. For 8-second continuous measurement, press and hold down the Power button to activate the continuous measurement function. The rangefinder will continuously measure the range for approximately eight seconds. This is useful when trying to find measurements of multiple or very small or thin objects, allowing you to know the distance to hazards, pins, mounds, and trees in one push-and-hold of the button. With this feature, you have the ability to scan across the green to easily pick out a flagstick from the background.

    Bright, 6x Monocular

Featuring renowned Nikon glass & multicoating technology for clear, high contrast views, COOLSHOT 20 GII’s 6-power monocular has eyeglass-friendly long eye relief and adjustable diopter for tack-sharp focusing.
