It all depends on what you are going to wrap the Velcro straps around. Let's say you have a 6"x2" armrest and you want to put a book and a couple of remotes in there (lots of room for more). You will from time to time have to readjust the straps. I don't expect it will just fall off but it will sag. That being said this is a good product and worth the money and if it didn't depend on Velcro it would be perfect.

Answer:	Yes. Put your thumb on the round disk ( by the little loops) push down and slide up ( away from the little loops) The little loops go through the the little bars on either side of your camera. So if you want to remove the main neck strap ( because you’re going to use a tripod or something) that button release is a quick way to release the strap.

Answer:	Yes!
Question:	What is the width of the strap? anyone tried it on a nikon dslr
Answer:	I don't own that camera (sadly!!) but I can't imagine why it wouldn't hold your wonderful camera. It works just fine with my Nikon D5600 with an 18-300mm zoom.
