Answer:	Oh my gosh, I just wore this yesterday...it's my favorite petticoat! Just checked...The underlining is nylon (straight, not gathered). There are only 2 gathered layers (seems like more), but because it's made of an organdy type fabric vs the tulle netting like many others, it seems much poofier. Copied this from online: "Organdy withstands multiple washing, retaining its crispness." Plus, this one doesn't bunch up in front when you walk like some of my other petticoats do. I measured the hem length on my size small is a consistent 25" (shorter when on) all the way around, whereas several of the brand name net ones I have are uneven. I'll never buy another pricey one after this, in fact plan to order 2 more now. I would recommend this over the Leg Avenue and even the Lindy Bop petticoats and you can't beat the price!

Answer:	It is short - even for a petite person - it is short. I didn't like it because it doesn't hide my gut/butt.
