So now I put a cheap bandaid over that thumb nail to give it extra cushioning. This type of glove is the best I have found to work with tho. And, I have large hands for a woman (man hands as Seinfeld calls 'em) and usually wear a lg or xlg. The lg on these work but they're a bit bigger than I like. Still quite functional tho. I love these and another brand that's identical.

Answer:	I think for the best results wash them and lay them to dry. Only because of the dots on the bottoms might lose their grips if dried too often. I plan to do mine that way.
