Fitbit could fix this tomorrow by allowing tethering, but they do not, and are censoring the issue on their forums. Don't downgrade! |

The basal metabolic rate calculated from your age, weight, height, and gender make up half of this calculation. Your heart rate and steps taken are used to calculate the other half of this number so putting your Fitbit in your pocket will help to lower your calorie burn. |

If you are at the cusp between the two sizes I suggest going up in size. |
