User questions & answers

Question: how high is the seat off the floor
Answer: When purchased new from Amazon.com, the bike requires assembly unless you add the optional "Include assembly" offered by Amazon Home Services. Should you choose to assemble it yourself, assembly instructions are provided and only standard tools are required.
Question: Does this recumbent bike require monthly fee in order to operate
Answer: Hi, Bryan from 3G Cardio. If you ever have an issue simply contact us at 3G Cardio (888-888-7985) and we will take care of any problem. This bike has a lifetime warranty on the frame and welds, 7 years on all parts including wear items and 1 year in home labor all covered by 3G Cardio. If you experience a problem after the warranty expires, you will still contact us and we will help to resolve the issues. We can still find you a service tech, ship parts etc... and then you would just pay the service tech directly and buy parts from us (at a very reasonable rate).
Question: What are the dimensions and space requirements
Answer: The starting resistance is really low so it is easy to pedal and the electronics are simple to use. The seat and backrest are very adjustable and seat cushions are really soft. Smaller frame people sometimes have a hard time with the gap between the seat bottom and back rest and on the 3G Elite Bike, the gap is really small so it will be comfortable and your backside won't be sitting on frame bolts! Also, this bike has a very narrow width between the front pedals so the bike won't feel too big for you. The best part about this bike is that it fits big and small people really well.
Question: How do you turn off the console
Answer: I am not exactly sure what you are asking so I will do my best to answer. First off, the actual "weight" of a flywheel does not matter, it is the quality of the material. We have a commercial warranty on this bike that allow up to 6 hours a day use in a commercial setting. The flywheel is extremely high quality and the bearing we use could easily last 20 years in a home setting with normal use.

User questions & answers

Question: When using the intercom function between two Sena helmets, do you have to touch the button each time you want to speak
Answer: Yes and No. When you first start a ride with someone else you sync the intercoms. From that point on you are both connected and can talk to each other without having to press any buttons. If one or both of you wants to listen to your music via your phone, you press a button and disconnect the intercom feature. When one of you wants to talk again you just push the button once to interrupt the music and talk to one another. Both of you don't have to push the button, just one rider can start the conversation and interrupt the other's music..
Question: does this come with a cloth case
Answer: Yes it does come with a helmet pouch
Question: Whats the difference between a bluetooth connection and a mesh connection
Answer: I will take a stab at it but you may want a second opinion. With Bluetooth, the signal goes from your unit to a second unit limited by the power of the Bluetooth. The range is very limited and probably only good for passenger intercom use and to connect to your phone, GPS, etc. With Mesh, the signal (not Bluetooth but radio waves) travels from your unit to a second unit and then using the power of the second unit your signal "leapfrogs" to the third unit which would be too far for your signal to reach on it's own. Unit two in said to function as a "repeater" like in HAM radio. So if your range is .5 miles, with four units you could now go 1.5 miles as long as the middle two units were turned on and functioning on the same channel. If you roll with 30 friends this would constitute a "mesh" of units all helping each other. It's a great theory but coming up with enough friends, with the same radios on the same day is not likely (at least for me). It's a great way for Sena to create brand loyalty...right? Keep in mind, if you use your phone/Bluetooth/helmet you can talk to any phone, on the other side of the world, hands free, from your helmet. I love mine just for the phone and music.
Question: Can you listen to music and will it pause for a walkie talkie conversation with another rider
Answer: Yes or no, depending on how you interpret it. To really understand, you need to stop thinking of it as a walkie talkie conversation. It's more like a phone call. With a walkie-talkie, you have to push a button to transmit, and while you're transmitting you can't hear the other person. With the Sena helmet, it's like being on a long phone call with the other helmet. You hear whatever the other person says when they say it and they hear whatever you say when you say it, even if you're both talking at the same time. There's nothing to push. Now you can tap a button to temporarily disconnect from the connection with the other person. Then you can tap again to reconnect. That feels more like putting the call on hold and then un-holding it, except that either person can un-hold it. So, yes, you can listen to music when the connection with the other helmet is paused, and when you or the other person tap to resume the connection the music pauses. In that sense, the answer to your question is yes, you can listen to music and it will pause. But in another sense the answer is no because with a walkie talkie when someone isn't speaking, there's no connection. With the Sena helmets, when both parties just aren't speaking, there's silence and the music won't play then, because the connection is still active. My girlfriend and I used the helmets on a 500 mile, week long bike ride (with 15,000 others) across Iowa this summer. We found that we liked just keeping the connection open most of the time. Sometimes we weren't talking and we couldn't listen to music then, but either of us could just start talking. It made conversation easy because it was like being in a car together in terms of ease of communication, even when we were a couple hundred feet apart. We only really broke off the connection if one of us was riding and talking with someone else. It was nice not to have to push a button and wait a second for the connection to start whenever we wanted to talk, but it meant that in the silences between speaking we couldn't listen to music. I hope that helps.

User questions & answers

Question: Do any other apps work with this besides Mycloudfitness
Answer: Yes, it does work with Pentel (mechanical) pencils. However, it can be only used on 0.3 (No 0.7, 0.5, etc)
Question: Is the seat adjustable
Answer: The pipe slide is the part where the led exits the pencil, the pipe slide will drop with gravity
Question: How is this bike different from the exerpeutic gold 575 xls? is this a newer or previous version
Answer: Remove the top of the pencil, remove eraser, slide new leads into tube under the eraser.
Question: Can you bike standing up out of the seat on this bike
Answer: I'm also in grad school for math, and found this pencil to be excellent. I have one in 0.7mm (which I mostly for writing sentences/paragraphs, like lesson plans) and one in 0.5mm (which I mostly use for doing homework and writing equations). The 0.5mm is good for squeezing subscripts and super-scripts where they need to go. My handwriting is smaller than most people, so unless you write extremely tiny, the 0.5mm should be more than adequate. The 0.7mm (this listing) can be good enough, but it's a little more situational. As you write, the lead gets rubbed off at an angle. The knurling is good enough that when you need to write tiny, you can easily rotate the pencil so that you are writing with the "sharp" side of the lead. It doesn't let you write tiny for a long time, but for a quick subscript of superscript or what-have-you, it's plenty good enough. If your handwriting tends to be a average sized or a little larger, then 0.7mm might be perfect for all your needs. It should be mentioned, however, that the lead that comes with it writes dark (a plus), but also tends to smear/smudge. Not to the point where it makes it difficult to read anything, but enough that you'll notice, and be annoyed if it's the type of thing to bug you. Once the lead that came with it ran out, I switched to normal Pentel HB refill lead that I already had, and everything has been dandy ever since. (Though I did like how the lead that came with it was darker, so once I run out of refill lead I may look into other brands.)
