Answer:	Not a good idea because you have to apply silicone lube monthly. I bought a fairly thin rubber mat thru Amazon to go under mine and protect the floor. Not likely to slide though as both the front & rear base have rubber on each end.

My whole house is tile and i was starting insanity and T25. the first day they slid around a bit but then i put a few strips of double sided tape down and it hasnt moved an inch in 60 days of insanity and none have separated. i did end up having to put duct tape in a 4' x 4' section in the middle because of my shoes were ripping the foam while doing burpees and suicides but its in great shape now.

The manufacturer of my flooring required a 3/8 in space which was easily achieved by using two spacers locked together.
