Answer:	All are the same and work the same. The only difference between the Dexpan is temperature. Each Dexpan covers a certain temp. range. For ex. Dexpan 1 - 77'F - 104'F Dexpan 2 - 50'F - 77'F Dexpan 3 - 23'F - 50'F It's best to apply product at it's lowest temperature this way it cures and set as the day warms up. Do not apply in afternoon if hole is in sun all day.

Answer:	Yes, they are hinged once opened. Good quality. Will likely need some break in as is a little tight even with hinge but I would expect that to be a good thing with age.

Answer:	You can use them for this purpose, but don't trust them implicitly. I use the clamps in addition to the threaded end cap. It keeps the cap from rotating off. I've tried using just the clamps, but the weights flew off the bar one time when I was cleaning a 50# dumbbell, which was somewhat terrifying. I'd recommend using them in addition to the threaded caps.
