Answer:	I've never tried, but I think it would be fine. It's very thin. A bike helmet shouldn't be an issue but a motorcycle helmet probably would cause it to bunch up.

My only concern would be if will be wide enough to really protect the ankle --it's only about an inch and a half wide. I'm thinking he'd be better off with a couple thicknesses of bubble wrap; it might look funny, but I'll bet his friends will be copying it.

Answer:	Hi T.L .. I measured the Light Blue Sweat Band from this pkg. Started at 13 inches... Fully Stretched to max.. 30 inches I've bought these perhaps (4) re-orders from this particular brand.. Love em. I don't care for sweatbands that are too tight either, and THESE are terrific. Just toss right in the wash/dryer. I was considering trying the wrist sweat bands from this seller/brand also.
