Answer:	You can, but slowly and carefully. It will take a long time because cig ports are usually rated to 10A max. If you supply more amps, you'll blow the fuse or burn the port. 80 AH battery (for example) is desirable to charge at ~20A, if it was deeply discharged.

Answer:	I just received my MinnKota Power Center (7-26-2016), I'm happy with it. The exact inside dimensions on the bottom where the battery will sit is 13 5/16" Long x 7 1/4" Wide x 8 7/8" Tall, add another 1 13/16" to that height measurement for clearance for your battery's terminals inside the lid. These inside dimensions flare up from the bottom giving you 13 7/8" Long x 7 3/4" Wide at the 8 7/8" point from the bottom. My Group 31 Vmaxtanks Vmaxslr125 AGM Deep Cycle 12v 125ah SLA battery sold on Amazon fits perfectly with 1/2" clearance at the bottom on length and width.

Answer:	Regarding the top answer, I would not recommend powering this trolling motor with two 12v batteries in series. That is the setup for a 24v motor. If you power this 12v motor with 24v, bad things will happen. However to answer the original question, yes you can run this on your boat without an alternator. I would just not recommend using the same battery you are using to start your engine. Get another deep cycle battery and it will do no harm to run it low, and at the end of the day you can still crank your engine and return to the boat ramp. You could even use two in PARALLEL, and run the motor twice as long. Hope this helps and keeps people from frying their motors!!

Answer:	Both if you have a plywood or wood plank across the boat it will sit on top or it can sit inside the kayak. I love mine, made a wood plank that the seat sits on.

Answer:	It has spot lock but you will need to buy the heading sensor for the jog feature which allows you to move the boat in 5 ft increments.

Answer:	US2 is universal sonar, not down/side imagine but, universal. There should be an adapter to make this work with other graphs beside Hummingbird.

Answer:	Regarding the top answer, I would not recommend powering this trolling motor with two 12v batteries in series. That is the setup for a 24v motor. If you power this 12v motor with 24v, bad things will happen. However to answer the original question, yes you can run this on your boat without an alternator. I would just not recommend using the same battery you are using to start your engine. Get another deep cycle battery and it will do no harm to run it low, and at the end of the day you can still crank your engine and return to the boat ramp. You could even use two in PARALLEL, and run the motor twice as long. Hope this helps and keeps people from frying their motors!!
