Answer:	Not sure, but wherever it is made, they need to come up with a better way of anchoring the rubber tubing inside the outer jacket better. I had mine for about 2 months and the rubber tubing on the inside came unattached from the brass fitting and shot off like a broken rubber band. I would not buy these again.

1. Do I need to connect the circuit breaker? - Yes! The 50 AMP circuit breaker that comes with the motor will help protect your motor from electrical damage.
2. Is this motor waterproof? - The head w/ handle is not waterproof. Light rain is fine but if there is heavy rain, it's submerged or sprayed directly with a hose, this will cause issues.
3. What gauge wire are the battery cables and how long are they? - This motor comes with 4ft 10 AWG cables.
4. How long does this motor run for? - This entirely depends on the battery capacity or Amperage Hour Rating (Ah) on the battery you are using. We recommend a 50Ah battery at minimum. This will power the motor for roughly 1hr at speed 5 continuously and 3hrs at speed 3 continuously.
5. Can the head be spun around for Bow Mounting? - Yes! Please reach out to Newport Vessels for instructions on how to safely do this.

A general guideline to determine the right pound thrust is 2 lbs. thrust for every 100 lbs. of total weight (boat, fuel, occupants, gear, etc.). Also, if you frequently fish in strong currents or windy conditions, add 10 lbs. thrust.

Shaft Length

The trolling motor's shaft length is a specific measurement that varies across boats. Measure from the top of the bow where the motor is mounted to the waterline. Then add 20 inches to this measurement. Your ideal shaft length should be at least as long as the combined sum.
