Answer:	The purpose of the large head guard is to keep the infants head above water . If the baby can hold his head up and push his feet down then he will be vertices in the water other wise he will be floating as if laying on a pillow above the water.

Answer:	Our 6 month old granddaughter is wearing this now. She's about 15 lbs and she still has room to grow into it. I would think this jacket would be too big for a 2 month old but that would depend on the baby's weight.

Answer:	I’ve used it scuba diving in Indonesia, Fiji, and Cozumel and was comfortable; dives Included some thermoclines at 80+ feet (computer said min temp was 72 degrees) but spent probably less than 5-10 minutes at that depth and noticed a chill. I should note that I am not slim!
