Answer:	I haven't double-checked, but I don't believe aerosols or C02 canisters are allowed on airplanes. When I go on bike trips, I don't take my CO2 canisters (for inflating tires) on the plane.

Question:	I am buying 2 onyx pfd's for friends who sail. will this rearming kit only be good for 1 inflation? or can i buy just extra co2 canisters
Answer:	While the "life expectancy" would be normally "until discharged" (there're not refillable) - on an auto life vest they are paired with a "cap" device that quickly degrades when submerged and triggers automatic inflation. The "cap" is a dated device good for approximately 3 years from manufacture. You'll not find the "cap" for sale without a paired CO-2 cartridge - the net effect being, their life in a auto PFD would be 3 years as is the "cap".

Answer:	Hi Kelly,I've never paid much attention to that date as it is a seal unit and I'm thinking it'll work for a long time. The big problem time wise, in my opinion, is the bobbin. That said, regardless of the vest, if the vest specs. indicate the Halkey-Roberts V90000 inflator type then these will work. Your 2nd. concern is that the 24gram cylinder is what your jacket requires. I don't know if these fit a Halkey-Roberts V90000 inflator type of smaller or larger capacity than the 24gram.

Answer:	The manufacturer states that the life vest can be worn by anyone over 5 ft 5 inches tall with a chest size between 30 and 56 inches. They also state that the vest shouldn’t be worn by a non-swimmer. It’s possible to let the straps out quite a bit, and the vest is basically unnoticeable when wearing it. I might want to test whether it had enough flotation to comfortably hold the body weight. They do make vests with more flotation if necessary.

Answer:	It all works together as a system. The pellets activate inflation from co2 cartridge. You have to buy complete kit. There is an expiration date as well. They must be replaced from time to time even if not activated.

Charles, thank you for your question. This model can only be operated in the automatic mode and does not have manual override capability. The manufacturer if the inflator mechanism is developing a system for this model that will have manual override capability in the next 12 months and we plan to incorporate this into an advanced series for lifejackets once this is available. Each time the vest deploys, it can be deflated, rearmed, and repacked to its original condition and ready for use again. Separate Bluestorm Cirrus26 Rearm Kits can be purchased on Amazon as well for when you need to rearm the unit. Hopefully, you will not have to rearm your lifejacket any time soon, but if you do it is good to know the product can be reused multiple times. I hope this answers your question.
