Question:	I have a full size chevy 1500 would the engine start feature crank my truck with an almost dead battery
Answer:	Turn off all accessories and and proceed to crank as you normally do. the starter is still 12 volt, there's no reason that your engine should not start, I haven't considered the diesel starting possibility, but start as one usually would,and Idont forsee any problem. 7-STAGE CHARGING AND MAINTENANCE MODES

1. Desulphation: Pulse charges the battery to break down the build-up of lead sulphate crystals. Lead sulphate crystals can occur when a battery has been discharged or left unused for a period of time, seriously affecting the performance and lifespan of the battery.

2. Soft Start: A slow steady buildup of the charging process that limits the power supplied to protect the battery.

3. Bulk Charge: The main part of the charging process where 80% of the charge is applied.

Answer:	The clamps are metal on the inside (obviously), and a durable plastic on the outside as insulating covers. Looks to be pretty durable, I've had no problems with them. But then, I tend to take care of my toys! :-) This unit, by the way, was an excellent investment...after having owned several less-capable chargers. This one restored my Yellow Top battery back to its full capacity in short order! I own a Tahoe Hybrid and had installed the Yellow Top as a result of standard batteries not holding a full charge after a year or two, and often draining when not running the Tahoe at least once every 4-5 days or so. Can connect full-time to the battery the accompanying cable, making the use of clamps unnecessary! Just have to remember to unplug it!
