Answer:	Yes went folded correctly it is. Used them on an ocean kayaking trip. During that time they were stuffed in the back compartment and everything inside stayed nice and dry. They also sat outside of the tent overnight and on one of the night it rained. In the morning all contents were dry. I believe that if submerged for a short period of time they would be fine. For general outdoor use (canoein kayaking, boating, camping etc. they’re great bags! I have a fe and have recommended the to a number of friends.

Answer:	I have the 5L, and don't know how the 3L compares, but here is some guidance: 1. If I understand correctly, the listed volumes are WITHOUT rolling over the top of the bag and buckling the buckle, which is what makes it waterproof. The "sealed" volume is much smaller. Presumably, the smaller the bag, the greater the proportionate loss of volume through rolling. Meaning that with a 5 liter bag, the rolled volume might be 2.5L, whereas with a 65 liter bag, the rolled volume might be something like 55 liters (note that I'm making those numbers up, I don't actually know). With my 5L bag, once rolled over, I couldn't fit two 1 liter bottles of seltzer in (note that because the bottles are round, there is space between them, so I'm not saying the volume of the SPACE isn't 2 liters once rolled, just that you can't fit two 1 liter bottles, which probably need MORE than 2 liters of space. 2. The shape of my 5L bag is relatively long and narrow. This makes sense, since when rolled over, it is roughly square. But don't think that a 5 liter bag will be big and roomy or very wide. It's not. 3. I would probably go for the 8 liter bag. If you are carrying a small, consumer-grade DSLR (Canon Rebel, Nikon D3xxx or D5xxx, etc.) and just one lens, then the 5 liter would suffice. Anything bigger than that and you will probably want the 8 liter size.

Answer:	Yes. I let my son float on it during a river trip and he had it submerged a few times. The sleeping bag inside was dry when we made camp.
