Answer:	Not sure why this is a relevant question as this is a swing-away jack. When you hook up to your tow vehicle just swing it and stow it so it is parallel to the trailer. But having said that an eyeball measurement is close to 11 1/2 inches.

Answer:	This is the same as any swivel caster that you would find on a piece of furniture. Only the wheel and its housing turns. The only movement that the shaft does is up and down.

I bought mine last August and have enjoyed it tremendously. I used to use a trailer dolly to move my 4 x 8 open trailer around until I got the Fulton jack. Now I just easily roll it around with the attached jack.I had installed the jack too close to my bumper and it contacted it during a turn, knocking off the black plastic cap on the top of the tube. Without it, rainwater would get into the gear area. So I called Fulton and told them what I had done (making sure they knew it was my fault) and they apologized for the problem and sent me 2 replacement caps for FREE. Talk about great customer support!So, where is it made? Don't really know. Is it WELL made? Absolutely! After of almost a year of use it still works flawlessly.
