Question:	What is the replacement battery
Answer:	I received my unit about 1 month ago and it is used in a single room that has no other heat source. It's works just fine keeping the room at a steady 74° running about 1/3 to 1/2 the time. It's a basement room with no proper insulation in Nebraska where it's about 30° highs if that helps give you an idea. I'm happy with it. Not saying you couldn't save money and get a cheap heater and fan and a purifier but the convenience of having it all in one was worth it for me.

Answer:	Bought this direct from Dyson. This is really a poor low-speed fan, I even had one replaced and did the same - poor quality. And the new software updates do not allow it to connect to wifi anymore and use the app or see the quality of air etc! It used to connect at least even if it was not a great product, now it does not even do that. Bottom line I feel totally RIPPED OFF for this garbage fan/heater, VERY low fan speed even on high... thought they were a great company that stands by their product, makes great products, but they are none of those things. For an almost $700 fan/heater, it airspeed is low and does not connect to wifi anymore, Dyson is RIP OFF Company with overmarketed products that just don't deliver. DO NOT BUY!

Answer:	The instructions mention to place this a certain distance from the ridge vents, so it acknowledges them and seems to indicate it is compatible

Answer:	It's designed to run ONLY while the sun is charging it. However, you can buy a 110V hybrid adapter (about $80), which easily connects to the fan. It works at night, as long as the attic is 80 degrees (or more), and runs on your home's electricity. Then, when the sun returns, it automatically converts back to solar power. I bought this unit, and had it installed simultaneously, because my attic also stays hot long into the night. Nice, right? :)

How to test when you received the solar vent fan?

Answer:	I did not measure the temperature difference, but it did not seem to make a difference. The fan does run quite strong so I suspect that it does pull heat out of the attic (that is, after you reverse the fan in its shroud so that it blows outward). However, I was very disappointed, after the fan motor completely died after two years.
Question:	Can this get wet? Weatherproof
Answer:	I mounted it in the roof gable vent and covered it with the slotted vent cover, so it doesn't get wet unless the rain is horizontal. Anyway, the motor burned out after two years. I don't recommend this product. I'm going to remove it and install a hard-wired electric attic vent fan.

Answer:	It does not have a place to plug in for a thermostat. I purchased a thermostat and did not use it. I have installed others that have a place to just plug a thermostat in. I would search for one of those fans.

Answer:	No. My unit is not functioning like that. (1) Heater feature can't be turned off. One can lower the set temperature to very low one, but it is different from turning off heater and running purifier on only. (2) I set the blow mode at 10 but it does blow the same as 1. (3) It blows like 10 only if the set temperature of the heater is greater than the room temperature. As a result, the blow is a warm blow. This experience is different from the Dyson web's live chat representative's explanation. I should say my unit is defective in that regards. But I am not sure if Dyson was misleading the consumers on this front, or your unit will be also defective like this. Returning.
