8 best carbon fiber paintball tank

A carbon fiber paintball tank is a crucial component in paintball equipment, primarily used to store and regulate compressed air or CO2 for powering paintball markers (guns). These tanks are related to categories such as paintball, airsoft paintball, and sports fitness. Here are some key points about carbon fiber paintball tanks:

  1. Material: Carbon fiber paintball tanks are constructed from carbon fiber-reinforced composites. This material provides the tanks with a lightweight yet incredibly strong and durable structure.

  2. Pressure Regulation: These tanks can hold high-pressure air or CO2, which is used to propel paintballs from paintball markers. The tanks are equipped with regulators or valves to control the release of compressed air at a safe and consistent pressure.

  3. Sizes: Carbon fiber paintball tanks come in various sizes, typically measured in cubic inches (CI) or liters (L). Common sizes include 45CI, 48CI, 68CI, and 88CI, among others. The choice of tank size depends on the player's preferences and style of play.

  4. Capacity: The capacity of a carbon fiber paintball tank refers to the volume of compressed air or CO2 it can hold at a specific pressure. A higher capacity tank can provide more shots before needing a refill.

  5. Weight: One of the key advantages of carbon fiber paintball tanks is their lightweight nature. They are significantly lighter than traditional aluminum tanks, which can reduce player fatigue during extended gameplay.

  6. Portability: The lightweight and compact design of these tanks makes them easy to carry and maneuver on the paintball field. Many players prefer carbon fiber tanks for their portability and ease of handling.

  7. Regulator Types: There are two main types of regulators used with carbon fiber paintball tanks:

    • High-Pressure Output (HPO): These regulators are designed for paintball markers that require high-pressure air, typically around 800-850 PSI.
    • Low-Pressure Output (LPO): These regulators are used with paintball markers that operate at lower pressures, usually below 300 PSI. They require additional equipment, such as a secondary regulator, to reduce the pressure.
  8. Maintenance: Regular maintenance is essential to ensure the safe and proper functioning of carbon fiber paintball tanks. This includes checking for leaks, inspecting O-rings, and ensuring that the tank is within its hydrostatic test date.

  9. Safety: Players should always follow safety guidelines when handling and using carbon fiber paintball tanks. This includes proper storage, transport, and handling to prevent accidents.

In summary, carbon fiber paintball tanks are essential components in paintball equipment, providing a lightweight and durable means of storing and regulating compressed air or CO2 for powering paintball markers.Players can choose from various tank sizes and regulator types to match their specific playing style and preferences. Proper maintenance and safety practices are crucial when using these tanks for paintball gameplay.

User questions & answers

Question: Does it fit any gun example empire axe
Answer: yea it fits just about all paintball markers
Question: Does this include the low pressure piston as well
Answer: No, the regulator style on these tanks do not use different pressure pistons. The regulator you are thinking about is the Pro Reg that comes on the extra lite bottles. Those regs use a pistons to change out low and high pressure.
Question: What is the typical cost difference for filling hpa vs co
Answer: Black Ops fields charge $5 to fill hpa tanks. That’s about average industry wide for hpa. Co2 tanks usually cost 5-10$ to fill although there are less and less places offering C02 fills as hpa is talking over as a more efficient and commonly available system. We don’t offer c02 fills or tanks at any of our stores
Question: Can this infate my PCP rifle to 3,300 psi
Answer: Even though this tank has an internal pressure of 4500 PSI, the regulator that is included with this tank will cut off the output of the tank at 800 PSI. Assuming you have the adapters to connect this tank your your PCP rifle, this tank will fill your rifle to 800 PSI and then stop. If you are trying to get a higher output you would need a different regulator that allowed that output.

User questions & answers

Question: Does this tank come with a fill nipple cover
Answer: Not completely sure what that is but if it’s meant to cover the area where you fill the tank then no. It does not.
Question: Whats the rehydro date
Answer: All of the tanks are good for 5 years from the date they are born and then require a rehydro test which will certify them for another 5 years. You can re certify the tank a total of 2 times to give you a maximum of 15 years of life. Once a tank is 15 years old (15 years from its born on date / initial hydro) it is considered expired. Each tank has a different initial date based on when the bottle was manufactured and this is specific per tank. Most retailers will restock often and the hydro dates are usually under a year old unless otherwise specified.
