Answer:	Yes I’ve had 2 they flake off like crazy. I finally got the stainless steel one and it does great and believe it or not it’s lighter in weight. I wouldn’t have thought the paint would make much of a difference but it does.

Answer:	That is the inside of the underside of the lid. The lid has a few layers/components (most of which come apart for cleaning). Easy to put back together. And that hook clips the next layer onto the top and that's what makes it TOTALLY spill-proof! I love mine, by the way :)

Answer:	The outside of the thermos does not get warm at all. Under the cover is a screwed on bottom of the lid. You have to make sure that that is tight or it could leak. You also have to make sure you put the lid on with the lid open and not closed because the vacuum gets so tight that I am unable to get it off. This thermos is excellent. It actually keeps hot liquids whether it be coffee, broth, or tea hot all day long.

Answer:	Is this for the North Korean army? I'm pretty sure Amazon does not carry so many in stock. You may want to buy directly from Thermos which is the company that makes these. Answer:	I left coffee in my mug for several weeks (misplaced the mug) and the smell inside was horrible, even after going through hot water washes/soaking/dishwasher. But I got it brand new again, here’s how: OxyClean is amazing for removing coffee and tea stains, and all smells, from stainless, mugs, whatever. It was great on the hard plastic parts as well. The silicone circular gasket and plug on the too inside of the lid were what stunk the worst, and nothing helped, even prolonged soaks and scrubbing in OxyClean. But they are SILICONE, and the internet taught me that the best way to get smells out of silicone is by baking it (thanks, Instapot owners!) Answer:	For me, the snapseal is better. Both will provide a complete seal with no spilling. The auto seal mechanism means the mug is always sealed, and you depress a button to activate a spring mechanism to allow flow through the spout. The snapseal you flip up and it opens, but it stays open until you flip the mechanism down. Here is why the snapseal is better - over time the spring mechanism in the autoseal will accumulate "coffee product" in and around the spring, which is difficult to clean without completely disassembling the lid. The snapseal doesn't accumulate this material, and is much easier to clean because it is a simpler mechanism overall.

Question:	Can you drink from bottle as well as cup
Answer:	Took a quick look and saw that the 'spout/pour section' narrows down to accommodate the stopper. It might be difficult to access the top of the inside, but I usually will use chemicals to clean my thermos and they would get to everything.I prefer this style of pour where the stopper is slightly loosened and the liquid pours around it. Only necessary to clean the exterior of the stopper.Incidentally I found that BREW RITE does a great job cleaning coffee buildup.I highly recommend this thermos.

Answer:	With tea (a little hotter than coffee when it's brewed) I make tea the night before at about 815, and the following morning it's steaming hot 12 hours later. I have to pour some and let it sit for five minutes before it's safe to consume. Preheating the vessel with hot water first will make the first pour a little hotter, and if you put boiling hot water in before swapping it for your liquid of choice, the liquid when poured in a clear glass will still be mixed phase (bubbles of gas in the water).
Question:	How long your bottle can stay with hot water
Answer:	About there being no gasket, yes there is a gasket. A rather large one. it sits at the bottom of the stopper and when screwed in rests against the lower portion of the inner pour segment of the bottle... perhaps on yours it was missing or fell off... after almost a year of heavy use, the gasket on mine hasnt worn out even slighty and is still totally leak proof. With the gasket present its not possible for the top of the stopper to even comes close to contact with the metal rim, which btw, isnt at all sharp. Its a product that will last a lifetime.

Answer:	It comes apart some and the gaskets come off. But I've never completely took it apart. Had to take it apart to clean the hot chocolate out of it. It does come with directions to take it apart.

Answer:	I would counter that the lid is almost too difficult to get off. The screw cap should have a textured finish. If your hands are wet, you would not be able to get the lid off. Great thermos though.
Question:	Where is it manufactured
Answer:	I bought two--a black tumbler and a silver one--and both leaked badly from the start, which caused me no shortage of problems. I ended up purchasing a Contigo Autoseal Transit mug to take with me, and it prevents spills better than anything I've owned. That said, I hate it. While the Contigo is utterly spill-proof, it's a pain to drink out of and it doesn't keep the coffee warm for anywhere near as long as the Thermos due to very thin metal with no vacuum where the top of the cup meets the lid. As a result, the metal conducts the heat right out of the coffee and into the air (or your thumb if you're not careful). The Thermos, on the other hand, while it's been a disaster for me in terms of spills, keeeps coffee warm for around 6 hours and is still my favorite tumbler to drink from. I have no idea why something with a leaky lid would retain heat so well, but it does.

Answer:	It depends what you put in it. I put lemon water in mine and one of the seeds got caught in the mechanism of the cap. It did leak and wrecked an MP3 player that was in the bag. I now use a Zojirushi and it definitely doesn't leak
