Answer:	Alkaline Beads are made from naturally occurring alkaline-rich minerals. They have been fired at a very high temperature, making them ceramic-like and insoluble in water. A proprietary, energy-charging process is then applied to the beads which gives them their unique energizing properties. Alkaline beads are made of magnesium oxide which is produced from naturally occurring salts of magnesium  found in rich brine deposits located approximately 2,500 feet below ground. Question:	How long can you soak the pouch, as we plan to use the bottle outdoors and keep the pouch inside the bottle the entire time
Answer:	Hello, Thanks for the question and happy to help! You must soak the pouch with the balls in it for approx 5 minutes, (I soak mine in a cup). After you have soaked the new dry ON-THE-GO pouch, discard the soaking water, and place the pouch into the bottle, The filter pouch can stay in the bottle for its whole filter life if you like, however, PLEASE NOTE, this may shorten the filter life. For the longest filter life, we suggest removing the pouch when you will no longer use it for the day. You may place wet pouch in a zip-top bag and store in the fridge so it doesn’t dry out until its next use If you would like to leave the pouch in all the time, that is fine but the filter life may be a bit shorter. Testing the pH with test drops or a digital pH test meter will give you a better idea how long the filter life will change by leaving the pouch in all the time. Either way, it is up to you! Question:	How long does it take the filter to "work" on the water to remove chemicals? I left mine in a couple days just sitting, fishy smell normal

After you have prepared the new dry ON-THE-GO pouch by soaking for approximately 5 minutes, and discard the soaking water, you can refill the water bottle with new water and wait for 3 - 5 minutes for the filter to do its work in purifying, alkalizing and remineralize the water so you will enjoy silky smooth high pH water, free from bad tastes and smells, and free from heavy metals. If you would like to leave the pouch in all the time or for its whole filter life, that is fine but the filter life may be a bit shorter. For the longest filter life, we suggest removing the pouch after the recommended soak time for the filter to do its work If the pouch will be out of contact with water for more than 48 hours, you should place the wet pouch in a zip-top bag in the fridge until its next use. How can I test the pH of my DYLN Bottle water?

We recommend using an Electronic pH Meter or pH test drops that are designed for drinking water to test the pH of the water from your DYLN Bottle. pH Paper Test Strips and Litmus Paper are not accurate when testing the pH of drinking water. This is because both are designed for measuring urine and saliva, not drinking water or alkaline water.

Before first use we recommend removing the VitaBead Diffuser and letting it soak in warm water for 20 minutes, then let air dry completely overnight. Place the Diffuser back in and you are good to go!
