Answer:	A: We are transitioning my 1 year old off bottles. This has been great, he learned quick on how to use the straw and since it is silicone he can’t get hurt on it. Answer:	Yes they are hard to clean, if cleaning means you want to access the surfaces and scrub. you can't take apart the top, and even with only water inside, it does get algae. we don't have a dishwasher. We tried to boil them to disinfect and melted the top! so not as sturdy as other Contigo products which you can disinfect. but not a bad product.
Question:	Can someone describe the mouth piece? It's hard to tell how the water comes out based on the picture. Does it have a spout that pops up
Answer:	There is no straw or spout. Once you have your mouth around the mouth hole, squeeze the button on opposite side of the lid. This opens the valve from within the water bottle and allows the water to flow through as you tip up the bottle. I hope this helps!
