Question: I'm actually looking at the amphipod airstretch velocity plus which may be a slightly newer model - does the pocket fit an iphone 6 plus
Answer: Purchased this for my wife, she carries a galaxy S5 in a rubberized case, I believe it is still smaller than the 6plus and it does not fit into it. We went with a Timbuk2 3 way accessory bag medium, which fits on the belt and she has one for the hand water bottle too. If your phone isn't in a case it should slide in and out of the Timbuk2 snugly, with case it wouldn't fit. Good luck.

Question: Do the jett-squeeze caps leak when you run
Answer: they did leak. I had to buy closable caps that snap shut but it seems with any bottle, they will eventually leak so I still love this belt with the bottles. Just have to make extra sure they are tightly screwed shut. I also test them by turning upside down over the sink and they aren’t leaking anymore from the top but out of the sides where it screws on. It may be because I put them in the dishwasher though which may have caused them to disfigure just wnough to not seal tightly.
Question: dose the pouch come off the belt

Answer: I have been caught in heavy rain with my AirFlow and it got damp on the inside, not to the point of causing a problem. BUT, the material is not designed to be water resistant. I keep a small freezer (heavier duty plastic) baggy in the pack now in the event I get caught in a very wet situation. Lighter rain I don't worry about it.

Answer: I think so. It's recycle code is #4 LDPE. But mine leaks so it doesn't matter what it's made out of. The belt is great though. I just use a Nathan or camelbak bottle.
