Answer:	Polycarbonate will crack and break within 3 to 5 years due to UV. I researched the internet and from my personal experience this is what happened to mine. As I'm writing this feedback to counter the misinformation from the first feedback, I am getting an acrylic backboard to replace my existing portable, which will last me 15-20 years. Answer:	No, I don't think they are the same backboard. According to Spalding website, the 79564 backboard is 4.5mm. According to Amazon's 66291 item listing, the 66291 backboard is 3.5mm. Unfortunately, Spalding does not list 66291 on their website so it took a lot of hunting for the comparison.

Question:	I can only get the pole to go 3.5 inches into the base after slamming it over 200 times...any suggestions on getting it to go further
Answer:	Wish you had read my previous response. The paint around that area needs to be sanded down some on the bottom pole to adequately slide the poles together. The system will still be very sturdy where you slammed it down, just know the measurement for the height adjuster will be an inch or two off. Otherwise try to spray some WD40 in the cracks to slide it down more. You should be fine.

Answer:	If I understand your question correctly, the pole leading to the backboard is angled at roughly 60 degrees leaving the backboard out in front of the base a foot or two.
