This roving is made from loose, unspun fibers and allows fingers and toes and claws to penetrate the surface and tear it apart. Watch a YouTube video on wet felting wool to see how easily it pulls apart. That periwinkle is actually lavender, by the way.

Answer:	Yes you can. BUT before you commit to this project realize it will be very expensive, it is not spun into yarn, it is just delicate carded fibers. It will not hold up to children or pets because hands, feet and toenails will tear it apart. It can't be laundered. I don't recommend using roving for blankets.
