Answer:	Don’t have mine handy but it is between 1 and 1–1/4 inch wide and 2 to 2-1/2 in long. The compass face is approx 1/2 in in diameter. The ring to attach to your pack is about 1/2 to 3/4 in in diameter. No way is 6 in long.

Answer:	I took this compass on a 70ft scuba dive in salt water. This compass was still pretty accurate at that depth. I notice the ball had come slightly dislodged but its all still intact. Just gotta make sure to rinse in fresh water
