Answer:	The sound level is 'good' for my purpose in using this megaphone. I communicate to someone in my home who is extremely DEAF and they hear me fine now and I do NOT have to strain my voice to be heard. I also like this particular model because it is a good size for the counter top and very easy to use.

Answer:	It's pretty lightweight. It has a strap, but it's too short to wear around the neck. You could probably attach it to a lanyard though. Although, that might make it a little too heavy. I just tried to do it, and the lanyard couldn't hold it.

Answer:	There is no power input. However there is a rechargeable battery pack which worked for 4 months and then just died. Since then comma I've been buying D batteries from Costco. You get a certain amount of life and then it's time to replace 8 D batteries. I have not tried d rechargeables.
