Answer:	Yes, my son uses his as a bike helmet. The clip on the back didn't come off though. He says it fits better than his that bike helmet.
Question:	Ear flaps-are they removable
Answer:	If I recall, all the Ascot items (and I have a lot) fold easily for storage, unless there is something hard that keeps it from folding. Push in the sides as you would a box and see if it easily collapses.
