A basic test is to simply take a meter reading with the old flash tube, and again with a new tube installed.

If you have access to a flash color meter, apply the same process.

With this information you can decide if the tube is too tired and should be replaced.

Answer:	No you need a Post-Emergent Herbicides. This is a nasty grass and you can see the seeds on it. To get rid you need also a pre emergence herbicide. This will not allow the seeds to germinate. I use pieces of sod to fix this. One other way is to allow the good grass to get to 3 1/2 inches Poa grass grows shorter.

Answer:	I have used it on weeds that sprouted in between homemade concrete stones and it had no adverse effect on them. You might want to try it on a small area of the Stone first.

Answer:	I own the same model CF-9030LP. It may deflect some of the heat from the burner to the cooking surface but it does help in funneling gas to the center burner. I did not replace the igniters.

Answer:	I’m not sure....we replaced many parts on the grill. Most didn’t work correctly so ended up junking the grill for a new Weber grill. The Vermont Castings was good until we recently started to need parts for it.

Answer:	To remove it, make sure there is not a thumb screw holding it down then just pull straight out. This should pull out easy if it is not being held by the thumb screw.
