Question:	Is the bottom hard plastic? My son is 6'6 and breaks the foam ones
Answer:	I think this one is very short. Keep in mind they are coiled so they are actually much shorter when you use them than the actual length. This one is technically 4 feet but when its not stretched out as far as you can its like a foot and a half. I use it for a hand board. If you are looking for one for a body/boogie board you should go for 8-10 feet if its coiled...its not as long as it sounds. When I walk out of the surf with it on my wrist the front of my boards just barely drag the sand.

Answer:	No, as the product description says, it has a wrap around neoprene cuff secured with Velcro. This is a body board leash. It is never used on the ankle.

Answer:	Sound like you lost the piece that screws into the leash end. Sadly, I had the same problem and the only solution I found was to order a new leash on Amazon. Tagvo was the brand.

Answer:	I'm 200lbs and almost six feet tall. I used it daily, hours a day, for a solid week in rough ocean waves with swells of almost 4 feet. It lasted, and is still in perfect condition. I think your son will be perfectly fine. Just make sure you secure the knot on the tie to the board tightly. :)

Answer:	insert the loop on the leash into slot on board and then squeeze the entire leash including the cuff through the loop and pull tight.

Answer:	about 1.3 pounds

Answer:	if you just learning how to use it, probably 33 inches will be better for a start, then you can switch to 41 inch

Answer:	I gave this board to my 6 year old grandson, but his 8 year old sister likes it too. I think it is a great and manageable size for kids up to 10.
