Answer:	Technically the specification states the maximum load as 250 lbs. However, my wife and I exceed that by at least 100 lbs and there didn't seem to be any issues. If you search You Tube for "Travels with Yoly" and then find a video called "Blackwater River - Part 2 - Kayak Trip" you can see it in action.

Answer:	I own both kayaks and I would rather go with the explore to kayak, the reason is the Explorer - is self bailing has better seats that raise you out of the water in the bottom of the boat has an upturned nose to keep water from splashing you paddles are better quality. I have taken the explorer down a class 3 river the cabarrton river in Idaho with no problems. Take the skeg off if you do rivers, will just cause you problems if you dont, mainly you will loose it. Only use tue skeg in lakes or ponds.

Answer:	The hatch has a rubber gasket around it to keep your gear dry . The problem with the kayak is that it is very unstable on the water and can tip easily so I guess the answer to your question is yes your gear will stay dry as long as you can keep the boat right side up. I returned mine and got the Pelican Cove100 at Walmart for almost $100 less and it is much more stable on the water and tracks very well. Good luck!

Answer:	When I bought mine I was very surprised at how rugged it is the bow in the sides are made of the same material like a zodiac inflatable boat very thick and stout the bottom is also good material. I drugged mine not for a long time but over rocks sticks and no punctures. That's not to say I would drag it a quarter mile down the road but it is very rugged very well made. I was very pleasantly surprised. I would recommend buying it you won't be disappointed

Answer:	I've used it twice and thoroughly impressed with the kayak, pump, paddle. The storage bag is the antithesis of the kayak. It began falling apart at the seam on the first use. I believe by my third outing it will completely come apart. It was a great price point at 69$. Now that it's 200$ so they could certainly invest in a slightly more durable bag and still get their ROI.

Answer:	I reviewed this product several months back and detailed a horrific kayaking experience I had back in 2011. To make a long story short, unbeknownst to me and my friends a then-recent tornado outbreak had left dozens of trees laying across the creek we were kayaking on. What was supposed to have been a 2-3 hour casual outing turned into 8 hours of dragging our kayaks across a shallow, rocky creek-bed and over dozens of fallen trees. All of that abuse did not lead to a single hole in the Challenger K1. Also, as I said in my previous review, I would strongly recommend buying a paddle better than the one that comes with it. The paddle is short and the cheap, plastic handle will easily crack.

Personally I was getting confused hearing everyone's opinion on how long it would take but watching someone, I could judge a lot easier :) I've found that just the Kayak can be inflated in about 3 min. And then inflating the other items, assembling the paddle, etc. can all be done in about 7-8min or under 10min no problem. And one helpful trick when deflating it is to approach it like you're rolling air out of an air mattress. Doing that works a lot better than trying to fold up the Kayak to get the air out. Answer:	I think so. I am 81 and kayak in it with various friends and relatives. It will easily support 400 lbs. The dog needs to be reasonably calm around water. One of my granddogs is a Portugese water dog who likes to jump in. I wouldn't want to try to get him back in the kayak. I have added some track mounts to help carry drinking water and fishing gear.

Answer:	No. My daughter is 12 and she sat in the middle i was in the front. im 5'3 and she is almost 5ft. He feet came just past my hips. It was a little uncomfortable at moments but not enough to ruin the fun.

Answer:	It is not suitable for standing. It is quite stable for two kayakers, even one adult and one child, but not standing. Perhaps you could master it on calm water like some people master unicycle or stilts, but it won't be fun or efficient for fishing. That said, the elevated seat position makes it much better for fishing than a sit-in kayak. You can actually see down into the water from a more acute angle. Adding a crossbar and outrigger floats would make it better for fishing and standing but that adds about $100-140 to costs.
