Question:	the mounting holes in my kayak are 18" apart right now....possible to use this without drilling new holes
Answer:	Unfortunately no. I don’t have my yak in front of me but I’m almost certain the holes are not at the very ends which they would need to be for 18” spacing to work. The length of the rail is only 19”. They come with self tapping screws that have held up really well on mine.

Answer:	I’m sure anything is possible but there is no preexisting setup. This boat was not designed for a motor. It is however a great foot drive kayak.

Answer:	It has a guard so for me it either pushes you up or stops abruptly if what you hit something with no give. It tilts up easy if you can see the obstacle (your topping out at 5mph max mind you)

Question:	Lots of bad reviews is it as good as people say
Answer:	My girls and I have only been using this board for a few months on various lakes. It blows up easy, my 7 year old can blow it up. The fin is also easy to attach, compared to my other board. So far, I have no complaints. I can't attest to how well this holds up over years of use though. I also can't say much about weight limit, I usually ride it with my 7 year old, a combined weight of maybe 200 lbs. I have had 3 people on it at once, probably 250 lbs and it held up just fine, just awkward for me to paddle since I wasn't used to the added weight. I have not used it with the kayak attachments.

Question:	How does the Lotus differ from the Daylite? They look exactly the same
Answer:	Yes. I have a 7 yr old who I take out with me. I end up doing a majority of the paddling. I started just giving her one side of the paddle instead of the whole thing. That works better for keeping her oar out of my area. Often we would bump paddles mid air. Unless you 7 yr old is amazingly coordinated and already knows how to paddle using both sides without hitting the person behind them. It’s lots of fun though and we take it out on our gentle current river full of all kinds of boats etc.

Answer:	Slide the fins in the slots and the tighten the holding screws. A little hard at first, but gets easier each time.

Answer:	I don’t but I’ll be honest , I have the foot bar and unless you’re about 6’2 or so it doesn’t really matter you may not reach it. I’m 5’10 and I can’t reach mine so I took it off.

Answer:	Don’t waste ur $$$. It only works during optimal conditions. But if u insist, I believe this would work with any kayak. Remember, u can only sail down wind which means u have to paddle back😜❗️❗️❗️
Question:	Does this bipass the laws requiring you to have a boat license like other trolling motors and other motors where you need a license
Answer:	It doesn’t come with one but maybe you can use a tent pole repair kit? Or try the hardware store, they have lots of tubing options. Word of caution, the loop may be made of fiberglass so wear gloves when handling. Hope this helps!
Question:	Does it float with out a drill..? and with a drill.? Walmart has this for 34 bucks
Answer:	Possibly if there are anchors to attach it. It didn't work that well for me as the upper strap tends to hit you in the head. Steering my kayak was tough because the straps were always in the way.

Answer:	I use it on my paddle board, on the built in d-rings. If your kayak has a cargo area in the front, you should be able to attach it. There are two carabiners on straps so it’s kind of adjustable. Hope this helps!
