Question:	If I use one arm to store something like a garden hose would the load capacity be 50 lbs or 25 lbs? If I use two arms 50 lbs or 100 lbs capacity
Answer:	Haven't tried it on a bike that size, but I put it on my kid's bike with 16" wheels and it was almost too tall on the shortest setting. Just measured it to be about 12.5" on the longest setting, which is about 0.5" shorter than the kickstand on my wife's 26" mountain bike. I'm sure it would stand the bike up, but I wouldn't say it is ideal. Sorry I couldn't answer more definitively, but I don't want to steer you wrong so just giving some info that I hope helps.
Question:	Is the load capacity of 50lbs for each arm? And therefore two arms can hold up to 100lbs
Answer:	Ummm it should swing up under the pedal next to the lower part of the frame. I wouldn't bend it. After a while of use, the friction will naturally wear away some of the stiffness. you might try a little WD40 or better yet a graphite based lubricant. We are very pleased with the kickstand.

Question:	What is the diameter of the tube
Answer:	The garden hook one arm load capacity be 50lbs, two arms be 100lbs. But this is the max load of the hook.
Question:	How far apart, horizontally, are the screw holes on the mounting plates
Answer:	This set of kayak hooks is a set of 6 and requires 2 hooks to hang the kayak. This set of hooks can hang up to 3 kayaks.
Question:	Can this be hang on cement wall? I live in Florida and the wall is cement. Can screws handle that type of wall
Answer:	It's pretty simple. The only tool that you need is a wrench or better, I think, a 3/8" socket. Question:	Will these work for a 14'8" tandem kayak
Answer:	It will fit. I bought it for a 16" bike and had to lengthen the kickstand to make it work properly so it should fit as small as a 12" bike.

Answer:	From the product description online it appears to be 1/4 in in diameter. It's pretty strong and holds our double kayak with no problem.
Question:	will this unit support my Yakima Skybox
Answer:	It's been years since I put it up but.... The holes appear to be ~2" apart. I used 4" deck screws and angled in on both side having first drilled a starter hole at that angle into the stud under the dry wall. Works great for my kayak - tested each by carefully pulling down on it with my 185 lbs.

Answer:	Yes, it fits my 15'6" single kayak. It depends on how far apart you space them and the weight of your kayak. I think max weight is around 100lbs. Mine weighs ~95lbs.

Answer:	You'll need to contact SYB or just go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy a 100 ft. pkg of para cord for $5.
Question:	Where are they made
Answer:	I would recommend a flat ceiling. I was unhappy with locking mechanism, extremely sensitive. I replaced that system after several kayak floor slams.
Question:	What size are the mounting holes (what size screw is needed)? I am installing on a concrete wall, and already have bolts anchored into the wall
Answer:	Having installed a couple of these for myself, you can certainly mount them across the vault without any issues. The pullies might work mounted sideways on the slope but the biggest issue I've run into that you need to consider is the height where you mount them. Both of mine pull the kayaks up just fine but to let them down the release does not work well. I have to get my ladder out and hold the release open with one hand while I play the rope through with the other to lower the kayak down to the floor. Not all at once, I let out a foot and then release the mechanism to hold it in place while I grab the rope a foot down and then repeat until it reaches the floor. Sounds bad but it isn't all that hard as long as you can reach the mechanism. So make sure you mount them low enough that you can reach them with a ladder.
Question:	Can these be used outside or will they rust
Answer:	With the hoist system at it's highest position, there is typically 8"-10" of space between your kayak and the ceiling. You will then need to account for the depth of your kayak to calculate the total distance hanging down from the ceiling.

Question:	Are the pulley wheels plastic or metal? It looks similar to a Harbor Freight bike hoist that I have. I am looking for something more heavy duty
Answer:	Hey G.Harder the pulley wheel's are plastic. But this model is rated for heavy object's. I have used mine to hold up my wheelbarrow to open up floor space and have not had any problem's. The only change I made was with the way the rope was secured in the block, instructions say to tie a knot at the end of the rope but I was not satisfied with that so I bought a couple cable clamp's at hardware for $.99 cent's and clamped the rope around one of the mounting bolt's and feel safe working under it now. I'm very happy and satisfied with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking.

Answer:	? This one is better than the Atwood one. I bought both. Although I prefer the rope that comes with the Atwood one, the Rad is heavier duty and better built in general.
Question:	How long are the straps? Would they go around a Yakima Skybox
Answer:	Each strap is 7 feet long, and the nylon line is very long. I didn't install it yet but it looks very similar to the bike rack that they sell and it is very strong and well made.
Question:	How tight to the ceiling can you get a kayak
Answer:	About 18" max. If you only use the hooksThe kit comes with straps that attach to the hook. With straps at least 24 inches to ceiling I have 8 foot garage ceiling. By attaching to straps -one end to loop other end to loop holding buckle I can get 6 feet between floor & bottom of kayak If you can't attach kayak to hooks only. You need to play with with harness straps to get max height.

Question:	Would a stand up paddle board fit on this
Answer:	The enclosed instruction sheet implies it is for the pair. However, I'm using them to hold an 85 lb. kayak, with no problem. Just make sure you are anchoring into solid wall studs (or concrete/block). I did replace the provided screws with 1/4" x 4" lag bolts.
Question:	Given the upward angle of the arms, will a 16 inch deep kayak fit with the arms as low as they can be adjusted away from the ceiling

Answer:	They’re adjustable. Make them what you need.
Question:	What size are the mounting holes (size screw, please) and are the mounts adjustable? I am installing on a concrete wall with existing anchored bolts
Answer:	The mounts are very adjustable. You essentially install the top mounts along a level, horizontal line, attach the vertical beams using a pins and place the lower brackets anywhere along the lower part of the beam so that the holes line up, and install the lower bracket. Once you install the brackets a and the vertical beams, you can place the kayak support bars on any open holes on the beam. I did have to make a couple minor adjustments after I first installed the brackets. If you want to install support bars at the highest point, you have to leave at least two holes above the top bracket so that the support bar can be installed at the top. Similarly, if you want to install a support bar at the lowest point on the beam, leave two holes under your bottom bracket. Doing that will give you the maximum amount of space in which to store your kayaks. For the other part of your question, I don't remember the exact dimension of the bolts holding the brackets onto the wall. You may be able to get a parts list from the manufacturer which would give you the dimension. Hope this helps.
Question:	Can the racks be used verticle as well as horizontal
Answer:	You can use the rack vertically. But remember the resting bars are tilted up to prevent kayaks/boards from falling down. If you set it vertically, what will keep them up? The bars would work as separators and you may need a rope to keep them up.

Question:	Is it free standing
Answer:	The paddle boards I have seen are pretty big. You could use these but I would want to tie them down to the rack so they don't slip off. It would be good for the manufacturer to put on tie downs on the frame so what ever you put on them they are not accidentally knocked off.

Answer:	The arms lay flat. Your 16 inch kayak will fit. Our kayak is about 13 inches deep and we still have plenty more space to adjust away from the ceiling if we needed to. Hope this helps.
Question:	The total width is 94", what is the distance between the 2 support legs? OR, how far does the end of the rack protrude from the legs? Maybe
Answer:	As long as you hit the center of the joist it should handle closer to 150lbs. I have got ~140lbs on them right now.
Question:	are there different size hooks? my perception tribe 13.5 kayak does not fit
Answer:	YES! You can adjust how far apart you place the bars to accommodate the length for an even longer kayak, as long as you have a solid ceiling beam to attach it to. Really, the distance between them is only determined by how far apart the beams in your ceiling are. The weight limit is 150 pounds...75 lbs. per side, so your 55 lb. kayaks will be fine. It's also easy to load and unload the kayaks...no ropes or pulleys, etc., you just stick them up there. I know the photo shows them stored upside down, but we have been storing ours right side up to keep paddles and lifejackets in them too. As I mentioned in my review, the only problem with these is that the hardware that comes with them is not good. My husband went to the hardware store to buy better quality pieces.

Answer:	This kit allows you to hang 2 kayaks..It is well made and is rated to hold up to 200 pounds. I highly recommend it..I have had 2 other dual kayak hangars that failed within 18 months. The Pelican system appears to use much sturdier materials.
