Answer:	I have a 12 foot Jon and use a 12 pounder that seems like it's just enough. I wouldn't go less than a 15

Answer:	Not sure mine is stainless steel. If so, it’s painted, but either way I wouldn’t hesitate to use it in salt water. If you’re concerned you can always rinse it off with fresh watwr afterwards. It’s a pretty stout little unit.

Answer:	Well, I imagine that you could glean some iron by trying to eat it. But if you are really worried about your calorie intake I think you could take the anchor out and leave it home. The temptation will be gone then. Just take the empty bag and no calories are in the bag at all.

Answer:	Yes, rock jetties catch everything. That said, tie the line to the other end of the anchor, then tie the top of the anchor to the line with 50 lb test line if the anchor gets stuck give it a good hard tug breaking the 50lb line, and pulling the anchor out backwards.

Answer:	I have not used in the ocean but I live on the Carolina Coast and think the five pound weight is too light to overcome the strength of the near shore waves.

Answer:	I don’t know what you mean by river style but we use about 10 of these in a river to anchor buoys to keep boats out of our swimming area. We also use then to anchor a swimming raft. They are light enough to lift and move when needed but don’t get washed down river by a medium strength river current.

Answer:	No, you need a # 438 adapter, or it comes with a bolt on mount. I bolted the mount towards the rear of my kayak and can use it there or up front on my scotty track with the extra 438 adapter

Answer:	Must be a bad batch - I just got mine and can’t turn the ring enough to unfold the anchor. May need to send it back.
