1. Do I need to connect the circuit breaker? - Yes! The 50 AMP circuit breaker that comes with the motor will help protect your motor from electrical damage.
2. Is this motor waterproof? - The head w/ handle is not waterproof. Light rain is fine but if there is heavy rain, it's submerged or sprayed directly with a hose, this will cause issues.
3. What gauge wire are the battery cables and how long are they? - This motor comes with 5ft 6in 10 AWG cables.
4. How long does this motor run for? - This entirely depends on the battery capacity or Amperage Hour Rating (Ah) on the battery you are using. We recommend a 50Ah battery at minimum. This will power the motor for roughly 1hr at speed 5 continuously and 3hrs at speed 3.
5. Can the head be spun around for Bow Mounting? - Yes! Please contact Newport Vessels for instructions on how to safely do this.

Answer:	Pretty sure it will, but to be sure, call the Minn Kota factory outlet 1800 7207304 with your model # ( under the control head). The foot control is very helpful as you don't have to stop fishing to make changes, and if your battery goes out in your remote, you can keep on fishing

Answer:	I don't own a Riptide (saltwater edition) but assume mine is the same except for freshwater fishing. The digital pedal comes attached with a 17' cord that no other brand offers. It makes it nice to operate the bow mount trolling motor from the back or mid range in a boat. The 17' cord is wired into the pedal and the other end has a plug that mates with the plug on the trolling motor itself. When disconnected, both plugs have screw on caps attached to the cord to protect them from debris or corrosion getting in the plugs.

You might be able to attach the front of the Kayak to the rear of the golf cart although it is doubtful the Kayak will stay on the carrier if you reach hit bumps, holes or rocks or increase speed. This carrier is made so you place the wheels under the Kayak toward the rear and pull the Kayak from its front strap.

Answer:	My one person kayak is 50lbs and I transport about 100 meters from my house to the water's edge. Your hobie 14 is 122lbs empty. I do not think this is the correct carrier for you. You need a wider/stronger carrier.
