User questions & answers

Question: Weight limit
Answer: i had considered the same question. i decided to drill holes rather than risking it. the unit itself weighs ~half of 1 battery, but it requires 4 batteries. if you think your doublesided tape will keep up 4.5 batteries with no issue, then you've got your answer.
Question: Do this need a lot of pavement to ride? Do nine year olds like it
Answer: Hello, Thank you for reaching out! This unit will not turn on if there are other ambient light in the room. You are able to remove the light sensor out of the unit so that unit will activate in daytime and nighttime when motion is detected. If you have any further questions, please email us a [email protected] or call us at 877-298-9082 ext 1.
Question: I know the Ripsticks come in at least two sizes. How do I know what size this one is? It doesn't seem to say
Answer: I have one in my storage building it is a 10 by 12 at 8 feet it lights all of it. the other light is in a screened in porch light is mounted 12 feet high lights up a larger area with plenty enough light to get around in.if you want something real bright get mr. beam spot light
Question: Is this size ripstik good for my 11 yr. old girl? 34" just seems big
Answer: This has more to do with your batteies than the LED light. Alkaline batteries perform very poorly when they are below freezing. If you use rechargeable NiMH batteries then the light can operate down to -20C or even lower. I know this becasue I have this light powered byTenergy Centura rechargeable C cells in my (unheated) garage. During last winter the outdoor temperature can drop to 0F (-18C) at night, and the light still works.
