Answer:	From what I can tell, yes it shuts off. There is a small blue light that tells you if you are properly positioned to receive a charge. My Samsung 6 phone the blinks red and the screen lights up with a % charged, telling me its correctly on the charger. then blinks as its charging. the little blue light on the charger its self turns off when my phone reached 100% so I assume it turns off and stops charging.
