Answer:	Wish others would have explained this better! It is literally already assembled... only need to put about 5 screws in. The manual is confusing thinking you have 46 different parts / screws to assemble but all those instructions have already been done for you. After taking out all the parts it took me about 10 minutes to put together - if that.

Answer:	I don't think you are too short, Ling. I'm 5'5". The "handle bars" are upright. You can take hold anywhere on those handles, high or low. Sometimes I take hold of handles a foot lower than usual just for a change . There is rubber covering at the top but you could put black electric tape around the area that you felt most comfortable in. You would really not need the tape. Might be less slippery. You could actually get someone with a small hacksaw and cut the upper part of the handles off quickly. There is some stuff at the hardware store that you can dip hammer handles into to form a hard rubber seal. You could put that on the handle tops if you cut them down. If you read a lot of the reviews you will notice many decided to take the "chest stablizer" off. They felt it was in their way and they felt much better without it. I think it was put there so people with poor balance had something to lean on. I find it a bit in the way too...but out of laziness I haven't removed it yet. But I plan to. I think that stabilizer piece will land right in your chest area. That would be my only concern. But I think you can take it off and feel perfect with this machine. The foot pads can swing your legs in a long stride or short so that won't make any difference. I'd go for it. Aside of the poor directions for putting it together & showing how to read the dial, it's a great machine. I use it every night for between 20 minutes & an hour & a half while watching my favorite TV shows. I starting doing just 5 minutes at a time. Now after 2 months I watched the whole Academy Awards Ceremony! If you put it in front of your TV, you will be sure to use it. Dr. Oz took his furniture out of his living room and replaced it with bicycles......so his kids could only watch TV when exercising.

Also good for elderly since you can hold on, swing legs and go as slow as you want......still getting more than staying seated all day. And the most appealing part to me (age 73), It's small enough to hide quickly if Queen Elizabeth pops in suddenly. You could hide it before answering the door....or behind the door. I have trouble doing daily exercise unless in front of TV. I care for my horse & lots of property to maintain but in the winter it amounts to just a few hours a day. Mild work.
