Answer:	We bought this for our 9 year old son for Christmas. His 13 year old sister also LOVES it and is going to buy one with her babysitting money. Max weight is 220 lbs, so I really don't think there is an age cap on the scooter. I wouldn't recommend it for a child without the coordination to balance (your call on the age).

Answer:	That's precisely the reason I'm looking at this item. Not sure about the illegal in 47/50 comment, but this appears to be a good fit for mushing. From experience, I've found that a good set of brakes and large enough tires are all you need for a mushing set. Also, the smaller the scooter the easier it is to navigate if your pooch gets distracted by trail-side prey.

Answer:	I'm 6' 260lbs and use mine professionally (I bought 2) with full SCUBA gear in a 2± mile an hour ocean currents. Was GREAT! It overcame the current by maybe 1/2-1 mile an hour. We expended a LOT less energy while working on the site. It has 3 speeds and can be configured for 1 handed control (right or left). Since there are two side mounted motors, the wash doesn't hit you in the face either. The battery lasts right around the full 75 minutes. Spend the $200 and get an extra battery to carry with you. One danger with a scooter...DON'T LOSE TRACK OF TIME They do make a little noise, but you might not hear you DC alarm Which you never really should be "surprised" by anyway!) :)
