Answer:	Ok so to answer your question Here’s what you need know. First off what you need to deterimine is what is the size of your rim and the size of your hub and the diameter size of your rim. So for example in your case is it 20 x 1.75 or 20 x 1.95 or 20 x 1-⅜ etc. Then you measure the hub first from (left) end to (right) end then you measure the distance from the middle of the hub to Left side and again from the middle to the right side. Also it depends on if your building a front wheel or a rear wheel. For a rear wheel it depends on if it’s a Freewheel or a Cassette, the speeds: multi speed or single speed, size of the original spokes and nipples. If your using the same hub and rim then just measure your old spokes. Keep in mind if you buy the bavel spokes here on amazon there will a 2 mm error, so if your original spokes were 260 then you’d ordered them then you’d receive 258 or if there 258 then you’d receive 256 and so on. Also it depends on the size of the hole of the nipple if it’s 1 or 2 mm. So if your build a rear wheel then the drive side spokes will be 1 or 2 mm shorter depending on the nipple hole size. The other important factor to note is does the spoke stick out or does it Bottom out? That’s Something to keep in mind, and before I forget there’s two more things: 1.) it’s tempting to cut the spokes however that interferes when it comes time to true your wheels, but if you do go that route do so at your own risk. 2.) Spoke lengths also depends on lacing and and your cross pattern, do the spokes cross x1, x2 , x3, x4 and so on, also demands on how many holes, 28, 36 etc. also I recommend this: http://www.bikewebsite.com/spokes.htm That will help you with the size you need depending your wheel. Answer:	there is a small tuning screw to help you calibrate, but I am not sure what you will calibrate it too... I just used it mainly to get relative measurements between the spokes (using a tool provided by a different more expensive manufacturer) I am not a pro, just wanted to make sure my wheels are true, there is no pinging, and the variance is within the desired percentage.

Answer:	Why can't it? It's allowing a tolerance because you can't be guaranteed to measure the spoke tension in the exact same spot that it was calibrated to. If you measure the tension closer to the rim or the hub, it will read differently and cannot be guaranteed to match the way it was calibrated.
Question:	Is there a way to calibrate this tool? It would be by tightening/loosening the screw, but what do you measure against? Spokes seem loose at 20 mark
Answer:	There is a specific tool that you use to calibrate these. You have to build a rig with a spoke, that has a set tension, done with a digital tensiometer (Not necessarily a spoke tensiometer), then you adjust this to match the other readout.
