Answer:	I think so. My Rainier Gen3 only needs 5.35mm of cable movement. The cable that came with my PNW 2x lever fits my Rainier and appears (looks and measures) to be a standard barrel end shift cable.

Answer:	It comes with a cable, but not the housing. It’s the standard shifter / dropper type cable, I think. Different from a brake cable housing.

Tool-less Travel Adjust System:

Our travel adjust system allows for a total of 30mm travel reduction in 5mm increments. If you were riding that line between a 170mm and 200mm dropper you can now fine-tune the perfect fit, (like finding the perfect chamois that holds you close but doesn’t create an excess of muffin top).

Reduced Overall Length

The redesigned Rainier is significantly shorter than our other posts. We scrubbed overall length of the post by minimizing the size of the bottom actuator and shortening the lower tube. Overall length reductions vary by travel but we were able to knock out 27.5mm of overall length from our 125mm size. Combining all of these changes means this version of the Rainier can fit into more bikes while also maximizing the amount of travel available.

But there is a flare another inch and three quarters on the outer body (where post reduces down to 27.2mm) So absolute minimum dropper post length from the top of your seat tube to the bottom of seat rail.. would be three and a quarter inches .... hope this helps
