Answer:	Most push-connect fittings are able to handle the rigors of hot water applications. The question is how hot? Beyond residential temperatures of 120-140F, the integrity of the tubing will become your primary issue at 40-60psi for the 1/4 inch tubes and fittings. The hot water softens the tubing and decreases the capability to maintain a proper seal due to deformation. Risky on the 1/4 inch pipe. Additionally, the heat loss using such small diameter tubing is also an issue.

Answer:	The pink ones only are check valves. The other straight ones are straight thru connectors.

Answer:	The blue ring is to prevent the plunger sleeve from being accidentally pushed in which could disconnect the tubing. I recommend you always use it on every fitting. The white straight connector is to connect 2 tubes together. You can use it in either direction. No difference. The pink one has an arrow molded on it (you will see it if you magnify and look close enough at the picture). It has a check valve and will allow water flow in one direction only - In the direction of the arrow. This prevents water from flowing back (commonly referred to as backflow). Hope this helps.

Answer:	these will work as long as you have the proper disc brake mounts on the bike frame and fork, also the wheels need to have flanges to mount the disc brake rotors, if you are changing from mechanical disc brakes to hydraulic disc, you already have the proper mounts. These are more powerful than the mechanical disc brakes I had on my custom fat tire beach cruiser. You may need new brake rotors as I did. Quality parts, they work awesome and are quiet.

Answer:	They would work, but not well. You might want to look at a 2 puck/piston caliper setup due to the weight. I believe these are optimal for 160-180 mm rotors. They will stop your bike eventually, but you will be burning through pads rather quickly I’d imagine. Also, you would probably need a spacer for mounting the calipers due to the increased diameter of the rotors. JGbike is great to deal with though.
