Answer:	I'm pretty sure that you would have to take the whole chain out in order to disable the pedal brake. By doing that you would eliminate the "power source", which in turn would make it just a balance bike. I could be wrong but I have no idea how it would be possible to disable the pedal brakes.

Answer:	For that height, which is similar to our daughter's, there 14' is the size to grow into. A 16" is Too big and she won't be able to handle it, just go to any Academy with her and try (that's all they sell). This 14" has been a perfect bike for our "little daughter (40" - 5 Years old), the seat goes way down and we feel she'll get a few years out of it. The bike is sturdy, and quite frankly she can go a little fast but we don't worry too much with it's handling. Hope this helps. The only other place I found 14" bikes was Toys r Us and the reviews were not good, so we are pleased!

My granddaughter who is a tall 3-year-old has the seat set low so her feet can touch the ground now as she learns how to ride a two-wheeler. Answer:	No. Definitely part of the bike I bought and not able to be removed. See 3-star review from 6/25/16 for pictures. I bought this bike for my 5-yr old as his first "big kid" bike. However, I probably wouldn't have, had I known it had the word "Baby" written all over it. To be fair, the company name is "Royal Baby" but I had no idea it would be plastered with so many instances of the word. The tire tread, for example, is made with the words "Royal Baby" over and over again. It is also on the handle bars, pedals, and a couple other spots (see picture).
Question:	Can the 18inch be fitted with generic training wheels? Or does I think need to be the royalbaby branded ones
Answer:	My 5 year old is 42 in and we went with the 14 in. Which was perfect. With the seat in the lowest setting she is still about 1/2 an inch from having her feet flat on the ground. She should be able to ride the 14 in for another 2 years I'd say. It's tempting to go with the larger size since they can use it longer, but a bigger/heavier bike is more difficult to learn to ride on if your kid is still learning to ride w/o training wheels. Im very happy I went with the 14 in
