| Answer: | What do you mean you are from the north? I am sorry but I have some issues with your questions because there are so many variables. So I will share my opinion about the garment in this way: this is a garment for you to use while you are doing a physical activity as it provides moisture control and wind protection. I can tell you from experience that I have wore it in the low 30's Farenheits with an underarmour hoodie. I did this while running and cycling-at 20 mph for 30 mins to 1 hrs bike ride- and I felt comfortable. However, I do know from other people that you may not be comfortable doing the same if your cold tolerance is lower. Furthermore, It also depends on the wind chill factor. If the wind chill is below freezing and strong, you will suffer. I would say this IS a great garment for doing activities in which are moving a 20 mhps such as cycling, but I would not recommend wearing it with just a hoodie if you are planning to do winter motorcycle riding -not taking in to consideration other variable. Now as for your concerns about freezing, if you are not moving, the wind-chill is below freezing point, and you are moving a certain speed, of course you will freeze. I live in Chicago. I commute in the winter ( I've been an all cycling commuter for 5 years) and I used this garment last winter (one of the coldest winters in the last 30 years- google Chiberia). I would recommend that you experiment with your cold tolerance, carry an additional cycling jacket or running jacket. The garment is excellent but using it alone depends on lots of factors and I would suggest you to experiment with that. Best of luck! |

If GORE-TEX or GORE Windstopper laminate are not used then we only use materials that correspond to our philosophy and meet our quality standards. Thanks to the purposeful selection of functional textiles effects are aimed for that enhance comfort and performance exponentially. We call these carefully, hand selected materials GORE Selected Fabrics.
Special mixture
Every material must possess special abilities such as stretch, moisture management, abrasion resistance and weight, to guarantee the best wearing comfort, optimal fit and performance.
