Question:	Is there much to the assembly, or is it more like the folding bookshelves I've seen; i.e. hinged where the sides meet the back
Answer:	Large screws securely fasten the shelving and top to the sides. A wrench (what I call an allen wrench) is included. Assembly took about 30 minutes but is simple. Unit is very sturdy.
Question:	There seems to be a differance of opinon on whether this is real wood or a composite. So is it real wood? Ground up sawdust is not real wood
Answer:	The bookcase I got is made out of real wood -- like that stuff that trees are made of. I know what wood looks like.
Question:	Is it solid beechwood as described by Amazon or composite as described in product description
Answer:	It is solid wood. Not sure where you saw a 'composite' description, but if what I received had not been solid wood I would have returned it. It's a nice product.
Question:	How tall is the space between the shelves
Answer:	The distance between shelves is nominally 12 inches, but when measured, the space for the bottom two shelves is 12 1/8 inch and the space for the top shelf is 12 inches.
