Answer:	Yes you can shorten. I have one that is hanging on an 8' ceiling and but hangs down about 20-24" and the other hangs from a 9' ceiling and it hangs down about the same. Just change the loop location with the hooks.

Question:	What is the recommended spacing between the straps for a Yakima Rocketbox Pro
Answer:	I doubt anybody is going to have a specific recommendation in this. I think you should focus on how heavy your carrier is and if it is less than the max rating in this lift. Beyond that, you’ll just have to figure out the best layout for your carrier.
Question:	What's the distance from the ceiling to the top of the roof-top box when hoisted all the way up? Also, how far down can a roof-top box be lowered
Answer:	After adjusting spacing between pully brackets, and with a very taught rope and taught webbing, I was able to get it down to 11" between ceiling and cargo box. This is with the pro version, which allows a minimized distance. That leaves me with about 3" of clearance above my garage door--I wouldn't be comfortable with much less due to the difficulty of ensuring that minimum distance every time.
Question:	Does anyone know the diameter of the ropes that are included with this
Answer:	It’s approximately a 3/16 inch rope when it’s taught and around .225” loose.
Question:	What is the hole spacing on the ceiling bracket? Can it be mounted perpendicular on a standard 2" joist or has to be inline
Answer:	Not sure if you are asking: 1) what is the spacing between the two different brackets that mount to the ceiling or ... 2) what is the distance between the two mounting screw holes in each bracket So I'll try to answer both: 1) It didn't seem like there is a required spacing. I just measured the distance between the underside clamps on my car carrier and used that. I think it was 33 inches if I remember right. 2) I don't remember for sure but I think it is about 2-3 inches. Inline vs perpindicular: I installed mine inline but that is just what made sense for me in my garage. I think you could do either but because the spacing between the two mounting screw holes is 2-3 inches I would think if you want to mount perpendicular to the joists you would probably have to first mount a 2x4 perpendicular to the joists with some lag screws from the hardware store. Then mount the brackets to that. Of course if you know exactly where two doubled up joists are you wouldn't have to do that. Or if the joists are exposed you could mount a block of wood on the side of a joist to double it up that way. But a 2x4 would give you more freedom about where you mount the 2 brackets because you wouldn't have to use a joist.

Answer:	Yes it should work with a 650. Really any motorcycle, scooter. You would slide it in between the front and rear wheel not centered but balanced. I welded tabs and bolted to my table. Then I welded a ring on both sides for a ratchet strap. It is very strong, reliable and sturdy. Use a 7/8 socket to lift and lower the scissor jack it works better than the hand crank that comes with it. Definitely a good buy. Hoping this helps- Mickey

Answer:	Yes, make sure you get an installer that pays attention to details and is local. The problem with Amazon Home Services is, they don't always use local contractors, my guy came from around 45 miles away. Best to contact local installer yourself.

Answer:	I had to read the instructions thoroughly. You have to connect to the garage door opener via wifi on your phone and then go to the web address stated in the instructions (can't remember off hand). From there it was pretty simple. Took me a while to figure it out. I just hadn't read far enough.

Answer:	Yes, all of your existing openers will still work. What this does is allows you to see if your garage door is open or closed no matter where you are (at work, on vacation, anywhere where your phone can connect to the internet), and it allows you to open or close it from anywhere from the app. You can also set alerts so that you get notified when somebody leaves it open and you can schedule it to close at specific times. So it is MUCH more than just a remote control in your car or on your sun visor.

After their announcement to support it (which was if I remember 2015 or 2016), I actually switched all of the garage openers to be myQ compatible... which ended in major disappointment because they never got out the integration. There was a manual integration that a SmartThings user did, but even this one is now defunct.

Answer:	Aqueon hang on filters use a filter cartridge with carbon. Sponge pads are used as mechanical filters and biological filters. They would not replace the need for activated carbon in you filter. If you already have the carbon issue figured out, then for the clearest aquarium water use our 40 PPI sponge pad. The 40 ppi will trap a ton more debris then a 20 ppi sponge pad meaning the pad will clog up much quicker and need to be rinsed out or occasionally replaced. - Lexi M at Aquatic Experts

Question:	how do you lift it to the ceiling do you have a crank system
Answer:	I'm not especially strong but I lifted the rack onto a ladder and balanced it there with the help of another shelf, then I attached 4 rubber (heavy duty) bungee cords to each corner and hooked it to the ceiling mount. After those were all attached I could carefully keep tightening the cords by moving the hook further and further into the middle of the rack, lifting it up incrementally. Eventually you get to a point where you can 'hook' the rack onto the piece that comes down from the ceiling mount, so it's supported before you screw it in.
Question:	Do I have to install the rack perpendicular to the ceiling joists as in the video or can I install the rack parallel to the joists
Answer:	As long as the ceiling mounts are installed in a joist(s), then it will work. I installed my units in the corner of my garage, which required some creative mounting, as the studs where not conveniently lined up for a perfect installation. For one of the brackets, I ended up securing it to the wall rather ceiling as there was no stud along the ceiling next to one of the walls.
Question:	Is the ceiling anchor bracket 16 to 24 inches long so one can span perpendicular over two ceiling joists to properly secure the rack
Answer:	Janet,First off, my ceiling joist run front to back in my garage. My racks are mounted on the back wall with the 48" width going front to back and the 96" length side to side. The predrilled mounting holes are spaced 16" apart along the long side and 24" on the side. Therefore, they are ready as you receive them for for both. The vertical adjustable drop straps are mounted every 48" so it doesn't make any difference which spacing your ceiling joist is since every 48" they match up anyway. If you put the rack in a back corner of a garage you could mount it with the short side on the back wall and the long side along the side wall. In that case you would need to either have 24" spacing in your ceiling joist or buy 3 48" (you can buy them this length at a hardware store, Lowes or Home Depot) pieces of angle iron to span 16" joist then use any of the holes available to get the 24 and 48" spacing at the ceiling. Answer:	The limit is 600lbs, says so in the description and in the manual. I have 2 of these and I have a good 400lbs on 1 and 200 on the other and they have held just fine. If it fell, it wasn't installed correctly.

Answer:	Yes, they work well. I staggered heights and spaced them 18" apart. Yes, you have to swing them over to get to one in the middle. Hope this helps!
Question:	What is the widest tire anyone has put on these racks? I have a 29 x 2.4 - thinking it may not fit well
Answer:	It should fit. The back brace, which your tire slips through, is 2 3/8". You might have to push a little... but it should be able to get through it. The holding brace (the one that folds out) is wider so that won't be a problem. The 29" will easily stay in the holding brace. This is absolutely the best way to store your bikes. Easy to set up and easy to slip bike into holder. You just have to have the upper body strength to lift up the front tire. I have two and will never go back to anything else.

Answer:	Both tray and vertical slots keep them upright. All my bikes (26 and 28 inch tire diameter, road and mountain style tires) will stand upright on their own in the rack. I do alternate front and back to accommodate the handlebars.
Question:	Will it work with 4” wide fat tire bikes
Answer:	Possibly - but will be tight. The space for the tires are exactly 4" wide. The spacing between bikes is about 6", so the bikes will be very close together. We have 4 x 2" tire bikes and we have to alternate them front to back to fit in the rack.
