User questions & answers
Question: | Will this fit on a 2005 Honda Pilot |
Answer: | Louise,As long as you have the cross bars on your Pathfinder the SweetRoll will work out fine. Thanks,Rack Attack |
Question: | Will this rack work with Ford F -150 . Space to open Tailgate |
Answer: | I use a Thule water slide covering the trunk (open the trunk and put the Velcro attachments on the underside of the trunk lid and close to hold in place) then put a Seattle roller on your rear glass window at the top. Prop the kayak on the water slide on the trunk, carefully pick up the back of the kayak, and roll up and onto the bars/cradles on top of your Civic. I have used this system for several years and it works really well. Recommended by Blue Mountain Outfitters. |
Question: | What is the distance from the center of the hitch to the side when the rack is swung out to the side? What is the effective clearness? Thanks, Tim |
Answer: | Yes, it worked on my old Scupper Pro. |
Question: | Has anyone tried this with a jeep JK, and will it let me open the back gate all the way |
Answer: | Not sure of the exact size but just wanted to say that both of kayaks came with the cat bags already installed in both hatches. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this fit 4" tire? Yakima website says so, but not here in the specifications |
Answer: | I am sorry, I do not see the chart. Try to find out from the manufacture or seller of your kayak what size you need. Also, I purchased different sizes to see what will work for a kayak but our kayak does not work with this type so go to the seller or brand web site of the kayak you have to see what size & what type you need. Hope this info helps you. |
Question: | what do I need to make this mount onto Whispbar Rail Bars with t-channels |
Answer: | I don't know the size of those, because i use the bigger blue scupper stoppers. Go to the Ocean Kayak website itself. It is difficult to find ( navigate) , but their is a Specification Sheet that gives the diameters. If you can't find it, call the 800 number for them, so they can direct you to it .I finally stumbled on it myslef |
Question: | What keeps the wheel hoop secure when a bike is not attached? I don't want to take the rack off when I am not carrying a bike |
Answer: | search for: "oce_productmanual_scupper_size_chart.pdf" |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this rack accommodate a Fat Bike with 4.5" wide tires. Do I need to purchase the cross braces from Yakima or VW and Chevy as we have a VW TiguanR |
Answer: | No it won't accomodate a fat bike unfortunately. I am using ford factory cross bars it will work with I think most aftermarket cross bars |
Question: | Will it fit a Prius V |
Answer: | The ForkLift is compatible with the Prius V with a base rack (Crossbar) system installed. There are no known issues that would prevent installation. Please refer to rack manufacturer specifications for weight load/carrying capacity restrictions. |
Question: | How many SKS lock cores will I need for this rack |
Answer: | Terri,The Front loader will require 2 locks for each bike. 1 will lock the bike to the rack, the other will lock the rack to the vehicle. Thanks,RAck Attack |
Question: | Can you install the frontloader and the fairing together at the same time |
Answer: | not sure what you mean. the unit is one piece which easily clamps to the cross bars. Then very easy to secure the bike. I use this carrier to get a fourth bike on my car (3 on a Thule back rack) and one on top. Works great. If the bike is heavy can be a bit of a bear to get it up on the roof by yourself but otherwise an easy deal. As someone else mentioned, I have to install it "backwards to get proper clearance from the back hatch. |

Question: | Can the hook hold down a girl's bike - which doesn't really have a horizontal bar, but an angled 45 downwards bar (from handle to mid seat stem |
Answer: | It shouldn’t be a problem. I carry a traditional mountain bike and 3 variations of women/ girl configuration low or slant bar bikes. Just be sure to put it in the slot w the lower slide down hook. |

Question: | Does the tilt feature fully work with Toyota Hylander to acess trunk while bikes are mounted or is there not enough clearance to fully tilt |
Answer: | I have a 2014 highlander. If I recall correctly, yes you can tilt the bikes down and the lift gate will clear. I have to mount it up tomorrow or Monday so I will try it out just to be sure. For reference, my husband has a large trail bike that is closest to the trunk. Nice choice of car btw haha .... I'll update my answer for you when I try it. |
Question: | Will this fit a 2016 Jeep Wrangler 2-door with 17" spare tire |
Answer: | No listing for this model. |
Question: | Will this work with a Subaru Impreza sport |
Answer: | yes, this will fit your vehicle. |
Question: | Will this work on a 2008 Toyota Highlander? Yes or no |
Answer: | This would be a very poor choice for a Toyota Highlander. Your vehicle type should be using a receiver hitch T-bar rack, or a wheel platform rack. Or a roof mount. Good luck, and don't buy a trunk mounted rack. |
Question: | Will it 2016 Mazda CX |
Answer: | No listing for the CX 3. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will 2 adult plus 3 kids bikes work with this rack? The reviews seem mixed on this, so do I need special considerations when picking out a bike |
Answer: | I am not sure I fully understand your question. When it comes to merv rating you need to balance your filter needs/wants vs efficiency. The higher the merv the smaller the particles filtered, but the higher your power use as your air handler has to work harder to pull through the finer filter. According to the USGBC LEED standards, a minimum of merv 13 must be used for all recirculated air.Merv 6 = 300 mprMerv 8 = 600 mprMerv 11 = 1000-1200 mpr (this filter)Merv 13 = 1500-1900 mpr.I chose this filter because it seemed like a reasonable compromise of filtration, efficiency and cost.I hope this helps. :) |
Question: | Are you happy with this bike? do kids bikes fir with adapters? if you are not happy, which 5 bike system would you recommend? Thx |
Answer: | I think so. Air filters are made in standard sizes, so if all three numbers in the size are the same, the filter should fit. Pay attention to the MERV rating as well, particularly if you are concerned about filtering out virus bearing aerosols. |
Question: | How durable is the "fully padded" arms of this rack? Will it withstand wear and tear and weather |
Answer: | It’s measured for you or measure it yourself. You have an old one measure it. Joe |
Question: | Is this better than Thule 9026 Apex 5 Bike Hitch Rack? or Yakima RidgeBack 5 bike? Thx |
Answer: | If the air purifier you mention requires a filter that's 16" x 20" x 2" then it will physically fit. But this is a furnace filter. I doubt it will have the desired effect. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will a beach cruiser, with a thicker cross bar (top bar), fit with this? I want to make sure all my bikes will fit on this so I don't have to return |
Answer: | I don't know. I hired the local Carrier company to install my Cor thermostat. The Thermostat fried, my AC fried, and I am out $700. I won't use the COR Thermostat. Sorry I cannot answer this question. |
Question: | What is the Yakima model number for this 3 bike fullback |
Answer: | I don't think so. Infinities must use the other wifi thermostat because they communicate differently with the system. |
Question: | How to put a step thru bike on Yakima fullback bike carrier |
Answer: | Works great on my iPhone X and iPad, but I do not know about Apple Home since do not use that. |
Question: | Will this work with a 2016 Fiesta 5 Door? I'm concerned about the factory spoiler on the back being in the way |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this fit a Wrangler JL |
Answer: | Product did not work very well for what i wanted bracket to do |
Question: | Does this have a ski/snowboard carrier attachment |
Answer: | I don’t have a motion sensor, but I do have 35s (315 70R17) and this lifts the spare about 2” off of the bumper. It adds very little in terms of thickness keeping the spare pretty tight to the tailgate as well. |
Question: | This says hitch rack, but I believe it is the spare-mounted rack, correct |
Answer: | It gives more than enough clearance for that size tire. That’s what I’m running. The wheel should be fine as well since it’s behind the carrier and doesn’t change how it mounts to the jeep. |
Question: | Will this fit an ford e350 spare tire? tire size lt225/75r16 - has 8 holes and i'm concerned it won't fit |
Answer: | It will, however you will not be able to open the tailgate all the way without an extension. |
Question: | For the people who have the jeep with proximity sensors, did you buy the 10526 model |
Answer: | Yes that’s what I use, Also if I May add everyone who sees it comments on it |
Question: | Having issue with Spare sitting on bumper and also motion sensor beeping continuously when in reverse. 35x12.50x22, will this fix issue |
Answer: | I think you would need to purchase this separately. |
Question: | Dose this bracket give a clearance for 315/70r70 (35x12.7x17) mounted on stock (oem) wheel (without wheel offset |
Answer: | Yes they do rotate. I usually position the ones I don't need down when trying to load the bikes. For what it's worth, the rack has worked great so far. In particular the swing down feature of the bar giving access to the trunk is key. I only have 2 comments / small critiques. One, the cradles you use frequently become loose rather quickly so they don't stay in the up position. I have to rest the bike on the bar and adjust the cradles each time. Small thing. Second, once the cradles become loose the whole bike shifts a lot with the wind. You'll probably want to secure them with bungie cords especially for longer drives. |

Product features
ROOFTOP MOUNT - FORK MOUNT
Fork mounts make it easy to load and unload your bike and require you to remove the front wheel (which can be stored in your vehicle or on the roof with a wheel fork).
ROOFTOP MOUNT - WHEEL-ON MOUNT
Wheel-on mounts allow you to load and unload your bike fully assembled, meaning it’s ready to go as soon as you get to the trail.
HITCH MOUNT - HANGING TILT RACK
Hanging racks tilt or swing out of the way to access your vehicle’s trunk or hatch. They’re great options for carrying multiple bikes (fit up to 5 bikes), but be aware of the type of bike - anything without traditional geometry may need a top tube adapter.
HITCH MOUNT - TRAY RACK
Tray racks can carry virtually any type of bike (and fit up 2 bikes or 4 with an extension). They offer more spacing between bikes to minimize interference and can either tilt or swing (with an adapter) out of the way while loaded.

Question: | I don’t have enough clearance from my hitch receiver to my rv bumper for this rack, as i need 6 inches to clear. is it safe if i use a hitch extender |
Answer: | Hello, the unit has 1 stage cooling and 1 stage heating control. I have added a link to the manual I located online which may help. The model is Carrier TB-NAC01 , not to be confused with the heat pump model. I see that you did place an order for the thermostat. If the thermostat will not work for your application and you would like to cancel the order please let us know. Thank You.http://www.manualsdir.com/manuals/60733/carrier-tb-nhp.html?page=3 |
Question: | Can I buy just the cradles |
Answer: | DOn't know call an HVAC company. This is a technical question that most lay people won't have the answer to. I know i recently installed a new thermostat "Ecobee" on my Carrier system and it was a bear to get information on installation. You could also call the Carrier customer service number 1 (800) 227-7437. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will it work with a sprinter van and 29in bike tire |
Answer: | I don’t know about the sprinter vans. We have a Suburban and it works great. I set the rack up on an Expedition and the rack was not able to be put in the upright setting with that vehicle, but it still worked fine. I have used this rack to transport mountain bikes of all sizes, from 20” tires to 29” tires. The 29ers fit great. |
Question: | Will this work with a rigid fork mountain bikes |
Answer: | No, this is compatible with suspension-fork bikes only. |
Question: | why doesnt this work for RVs |
Answer: | I believe that Yakima states that because of the extra forces applied to the rack. The amount of RV body that extends past the rear tires causes more bounce and therefore more stress to the rack. That being said my RV is a converted school bus and the back end bounces like crazy. I have put a 1000 miles on the rack with 6 bikes on it, I constantly check it for damage and so far it is holding up exceptionally well. But consider the liability of what you are doing. Depending on the price of the bikes you are putting on there you are looking at risking $3000 dollars upwards of $20,000 if your hauling all your friends top tier trail bikes. |
Question: | Does this bike rack hold 24" wheel kid bike |
Answer: | I use it also with my kids 20 inch and 24 inch Trek mountain bikes with front shocks. I did have trouble hauling a friends cheap 24 inch mountain bike that has narrowing than standard front shocks. |
