Answer:	You need to replace your regular tire with a tire specifically designed for indoor trainer use. Also, I do not recommend this brand because it does not last. I'd go with Continental indoor trainer tire. It may cost a bit more but well worth it. Also, ideally I'd recommend buying a spare rear wheel and cassette with the same gearing you already have. that way, in spring and fall when you might be riding inside one day and outside the next, all you have to do is swap out the rear wheel and do a bit of rear derailleur adjustment. The ultimate setup is to buy a cheap bike that is sized/set up identically to your normal outdoor bike, make sure the gearing is correct, use the indoor trainer tire on that and make it your permanent indoor trainer bike, that way no messing around with going back and forth. I did that a couple years ago and some of the smartest money I ever spent on cycling.

Answer:	The resistance on the tire from the trainer is consistent throughout the training period and cannot be adjusted without getting off the bike. However, that's not the purpose of the trainer, unlike a spin bike you have gears on your actual bike and by using your shifter and moving up and down the rear ring you will provide yourself with plenty of resistance and can change gears as often as you need to simulate climbing, speed work, and recovery. There are great training videos on YouTube that tell you when to shift up or down on your bike while using a trainer. Good luck.

Answer:	I think so. The 9 yr old should have no problem, and i doubt the 6 yr old would either. The arm that holds the wheel dosent have alot of tension. It moves quite easily. I think its used more as a guide for the wheel. I really like the product and would recomend it.
