Answer:	I just tried putting up to 20 lbs and I don't think this would work. It's not so much the wicker but it's the two vinyl straps that may break with this much weight. I just put my purse, maybe lunch and beverage in it. I don't think it's large enough for a backpack with that much weight. You would be better to get a steel or aluminum basket that would hold up better. Hope this helped.

If you have a decent set of tools you can do this.

Answer:	This basket will fit some 24" wheel bikes but you need to measure the distance from the bottom of the handlebar to the top of the tire or fender. The distance needs to be 11" or greater in order for the basket to fit without interfering with the front tire.

Answer:	If memory serves me right from when my daughter had one (she's 30 now), the American Doll is pretty big but it should fit although maybe the legs may be hanging over the sides. Not familiar with the other doll but two large dolls won't fit. The real question is whether the basket will fit her bike. This is an adult basket and a bike for an 8 year old is much smaller. You need to measure the distance from the handlebars to the top of the front wheel. You need a minimum of 12" of clearance

Answer:	Assuming your not actually bouncing along the cliffs of mountains, the Snoozer Sporty Bike Basket may be a better fit. I use it on my mountain Bike and it holds dog up to 15 lbs, and easy goes on and off to be used as a carrier, or for times when your not biking with dog. Also, a little wider which may be comfortable with Dachshund. While secure, it can wobble a little during sharp turns and bumps which is why I made comment about not riding on rough mountain terrain. Answer:	Yes it would. My bike is a 26”, but our handle bars are pretty much the same size. For assembly, there are (rubber) spacers to help fit the bracket on any handlebar. I love the basket, my dog loves it too. I think you’ll be happy with it. FYI: aluminum frame is lightweight... don’t let your bike tip over with basket on... it could possibly damage the frame if it hits hard.

Answer:	Our 10lb Morkie fits and sits fine but the integrity of the seat is weak and requires constant monitoring of him and seat as you concentrate on riding.

Answer:	This basket was bought for a mountain bike and works great. Two support bars mount right to the front wheel sprocket and it is very sturdy. You can't go wrong with this basket.
